Hoping the Lady reds don't get axed.
Have been to all their home games this season but like other in the Lady reds cheer squad have been saying. Too many interstaters in the team. But man I love Ashleigh Gunning and her hot Louisana accent. mmmm

Okay, I see it now. Haha! Those WATR boys are really pushy...
Anyways if I don't manage to get a shirt tonight, I don't mind waiting until next game at AO. By then we might have another sleeve sponsor... :p

On the contrary, I think Friday night has been perfect for us as a club. The consistency of the game time is what has probably contributed to our regular crowds too.
I guess the odd Saturday or Sunday game would be nice too.

I've been screaming for this for the past 2 years, now finally there is a good chance tonight will be the last Friday night I have to work so I can go to the Friday night matches, so if they change it now, I will be ropable!

I guess the odd Saturday or Sunday game would be nice too. Majority rules, I guess! But for me personally, Friday evenings are not convenient, and I can barely make it to half the home games in a season. I could attend more if they weren't all on Friday evenings! I guess no matter what time slot AU games are held, there will always be some factors that prevent people going... if it is not your own football training, it is grandma's birthday party, or something;)

Travis Dodd was confused and not happy at being subbed. If you ask me he should be getting dropped until he remembers that his job is to win games not walk around looking a little... tubby.

Now, I hope we don't turn into the Real Madrid of the A-League (implying that we actually win stuff... ), but at the amount of bringing in players, one would hope it actually leads to silverware. I mean just look at the team sheet now - with the names of Galekovic, Flores, Leckie, Cassio, van Dijk, and now Usucar and Slory - you'd think we should have no problems getting something at the end of this.
I will be a very disappointed man if this turns out to be a dud season...

I think the problem with central defenders is that once a pairing is stable, it's hard to break into the team, thus the coach may not see the immediate necessity of having too many on hand, especially with our small squad sizes.
But we've had problems with our defenders this whole season. We've done alright considering.

Definitely, but we can't afford to have Hughes slipping back to CD whenever something goes wrong, because we become extremely poor then, I'm not sure if that's due to Hughes playing in defence or not having anyone to cover Hughes' midfield position, but hopefully the Uruguay lad can cover that problem. You can't deny that it's a fantastic signing by looking at his pedigree, but we still don't have sufficient back up for SVD, unless Rini still has more plans for players in January.

We still have two more squad members to fill our roster I believe. And as to contract extensions, pretty sure we're letting go of Costa and possibly Monterosso too - so that just leaves Reid, Barbiero, Dodd and Hughes to sort out. All look safe to stay.

Yeah you suspect that one of Reid or Hughes might go, thinking that Reid is definately going to get offers from other a-league clubs at the very least. Hughes may do also, but probably less likely. IMO we need to do everything in our power to keep Reid. He's cruicial to our team. Barbs can probably go, although he has been getting better as a converted RB. I like him going forward form that positoin better than Mullen, but have to say Mullen is better defensively.

It took us 10 weeks or so to remember that we are the same shit team who came bottom last year with 2 new players... As soon as we lost to melbourne we haven't looked the same...or maybe that is just losing Leckie. Boy have we missed him, he always kept opposition defences on the back foot and honest.
Last night especially in the first half we had a line of six at the back and four at the fron. Flores stood up with Van dijk most of the time, surely he should be dropping deep.
Fuck im angry...
