Anyway Im a member and great to see they also have international membership. May have to take that up next season.
See you Sept 9th
Please be warned though about the free entry to games. I hope people read the disclaimer regarding that.(we could have everyone be a member but if they only have one stand open and people have bought tickets there will be people who will miss out on free entry to the preseason games. It may happen for the Gold Coast game but not the Melbourne game as they should open up the whole stadium. I might just have to sign up for an international membership!

BTW good to see you in 442 Matt!
Edited by General Ashnak: 26/8/2011 02:28:59 PM Disappointing. I assume we aren't likely to get into the Olyroos game in a few weeks either? Mariners and Jets fans did a couple of months ago didn't they? ;)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2015_Asian_Cup
Just saw the announcement of the venues for the next Asian Cup to be held here in 3 years, 2015. Obviously they were announced a few months ago, but I wanted to make the point and see what you lot thought, as Adelaide fans and residents.
Melbourne has 2 which is fair, AAMI stadium is obviously in as is Dockland's for the Quarter and Semi Finals for its big capacity. Queensland has Suncorp and Gold Coast, again no problem there. Canberra is included because of its status as the Capital, and with some upgrades, again no complaints.
Sydney has the SFS which is fine, and I guess ANZ no problems because its a great Final venue to get a 60k+ crowd obviously a full-house if Socceroos make the final. But Parramatta stadium too? Newcastle was unlucky to miss out, but I think the biggest to miss out are you guys down in Adelaide. And it comes down to Hindmarsh is simply not big enough, because it would and should be the best venue in the country but its just too small and its now a serious issue. Thoughts? PS. i hope this hasn't already been discussed - if so just tell me and ignore it ;)

 119Glory we have discussed expanding the 'marsh ad naseum, government owned and in many ways badly situated on its block. Can be done but needs significant will which isn't in Adelaide.

The list on Wikipedia is not final. The FFA have suggested that Adelaide Oval is a good chance to host some matches. Personally I hope they use:
- Suncorp (Semi) - ANZ Stadium (Final) - Canberra Stadium - AAMI Park - Adelaide Oval
The AFC have already said they expect 4-5 venues, so probably won't be any more than this, and these venues are all quality (with the exception of Adelaide Oval, depending on how the redevelopment turns out). Better to spread games around different cities.

and to clarify by posting "news", this is what i mean:
a) "Eugene just got up for the 5th time to go to the toilet" - unacceptable
b) A photo of Eugene's Mrs all dolled up - acceptable

Haha yeah, we should have had a 442 table, but oh well...
No, I won't be there, but I'll keep everyone posted on here with Twitter updates from the boys and Val, and whoever else is there that I'm following.

Pre-season meet-up at the snakepit...sticker nametags for forum names can be arranged:) We're in this together and as the slogan will say from next week onwards: WE are football:)

Jon McKain is captain. Cassio is deputy-captain. Galekovic is vice-captain. Or something like that.
Coopers is front of shirt sponsor. Stratco is back of shirt.

Coopers is front of shirt sponsor. Stratco is back of shirt. Does that mean they released new strips then? Great to see Coopers back, same with Stratco and good on them, now you need the BHP's and local businesses to pump some money in. Surely they should sell the naming rights to Hindmarsh for a bit of money to finance a big signing although its controlled by govt so money would go to them? I dunno, just suggesting so that we have a better AUFC :)
