haha actually thought id have everyone try and tell me it adds to the atmosphere, it really just sounds stupid this constant banging of the drum and drowns out the singing

How do drums drown out singing? :lol: Fair enough if you were complaining about a trumpet or something but the drums are just there to keep the rhythm and to encourage people to join in. I think the source of the problem is the lack of people who actually sing in the north end.

THE Moet & Chandon Melbourne Cup afterparty, one of our top social soirees, didn't disappoint in 2011.

The French bubbly was flowing among Adelaide's A-list at Hotel Richmond's First Bar with revellers partying well into the morning.

Attendees included former 36er Mark Davis, businessman Francis Wong, celebrity chef Adam Swanson and one-time The Block residents Amity Dry and Phil Rankine, as well as the requisite sports stars, fashion designers, models and TV types.

One of the best dressed was Adelaide United player Evgeniy Levchenko whose bow tie-cardigan combination had the ladies charmed.

And speaking of dressing to impress, fashion designer Liza Emanuele had a much fussed about wardrobe drama after a glass of bubbly was accidentally spilt on her cream floral dress.

The girl about town was most displeased, and was asked to step outside to calm down before returning to the party - but Liza didn't kick on much after the incident.

One party-goer who was well and truly in the spirit was the new-look Dorinda Hafner, who made the dancefloor her home for the evening, living it up to the sounds of DJ Leah Mencel.

you dont want any imports so do you want the team made up of players from the state league?

I scratch my head at you bitching and crying about the owners who saved this club all because its too far to see the youth team play. Those "loyal supporters" will go but most people dont care
