“434 indigenous deaths in custody since 1991, and not one conviction!”
Arrghhh racism!
Except most of the deaths were natural, suicide or drug overdose, and non indigenous die in custody at a higher rate than Indigenous.
Fucking left 😂

So we have a deaths in custody issue? We should try and fix it. Suicide whilst in custody isn’t acceptable. Nor are drug overdoses.

The left arent capable of empathy either. That’s why they spew nonsense about Aboriginal deaths in custody without any basis in fact. What is the actual consequence of fudging statistics to support the white supremacist narrative? Does it fill Indigenous with confidence and feelings of acceptance? No, it fills them with fear, hurt and hatred. It makes them feel worthless, paranoid and promotes feelings of despair, thinking society and government have calibrated society in such a way that no matter how hard they try, they will never make it. What an awful message to send, especially to young indigenous children and teens who must treat trite and conclude they are hated. Do the left care? No, they care about politics and votes.

How about this, if looking into indigenous deaths in custody leads to wholesale improvements, isn’t that a good thing?

How about this, if looking into indigenous deaths in custody leads to wholesale improvements, isn’t that a good thing? Refer to my previous post. Making indigenous feel paranoid, scared and angry when the facts do not support it is a bad thing, and will likely increase the crime and suicide rate. You’re better off telling the truth, that blacks are no more likely do die in custody than whites, and that there is not systemic racism in the police. That would lead to more positive interactions between indigenous and police which may lead to wholesale improvements, isnt that a good thing?

Referring to and working off facts is always a good thing. But your not proposing that we do anything about deaths in custody at all. You’re just saying that it’s a problem which every race faces equally and we have to accept. It’s like saying to a person who just had a tragedy that everyone has tragedies and you just have to deal with it. I’m saying that we should acknowledge the existence of all tragedies and work towards avoiding/minimising it in future.
First step is to acknowledge that there is a problem - deaths in custody (regardless of it being a racial one or not, we can take that aspect out of defining the problem).

There isnt really a problem though. A real example of a problem would be domestic violence, rape, child abuse, rape and violence in Indigenous communities. With limited police resources you have to focus it on areas where it’s needed most. Zero’ing in on “deaths in custody” is akin to helping a kitty out of a tree while there’s a mass shooting happening.

They might even be interconnected as well - less crime, less deaths in custody! The key difference between the crimes you listed and deaths in custody is however, the fact that deaths in custody is something while on police watch.

Nah mate, you fell for the bullshit propaganda about black deaths in police custody. You saw that and like most retarded lefties concluded police are going around slaughtering indigenous folk and nobody is being held accountable. But it was a lie, and the worst stat the left could find against police, and they had to manipulate its guts to make it fit the narrative. I will take you seriously when you start taking violence, rape and child abuse in indigenous communities seriously.
