Listening to radio yesterday I was baffled regards the UK NOT closing their borders, being considered for late this week.
Like WTF, the horse had bolted long ago.

I've had a chuckle for the past week at all the Victoria memes. As a South Aussie it's something we revel in but today I saw another and didn't find it funny. I think it's jumped the shark now at least for me. 

Really this outbreak could have happened in any of the capital cities. We all have our idiots who don't take it seriously or think the rules don't apply to them The rest of us have been lucky so far. 

Lucky maybe but also better community behaviour imo.
Andrews hasn't been a good leader overall regards covid19.

1) Refuse Covid testing despite living in the hot-spot suburbs because "your life's too busy to have to isolate in quarantine if you're infected".

2) If you're a Security Guard at a Quarantine Facility share cigarettes with quarantined residents.

3) If you're a Security Guard at a Quarantine Facility Sleep or become intimate with quarantined residents.

4) If your religious period is over celebrate with you're entire family.

5) Attend a mass rally to protest against a problem in the US.

6) Rush into Vic Roads the day before your suburb is locked down to change your address so you can go about your daily life without disruption.

Andrew's has actually done a pretty good job through all this. His messaging has been clear. If anything restrictions were eased a little too quickly under immense pressure from the usual opponents.

The use of security guards in the hotel quarantine is definitely something that was mismanaged but I did read a suggestion that using ADF in Victoria was problematic due to legislation.

You don't think 1, 4, 5 and 6 didn't/wouldn't happen in other cities? 

The Victorian government has done a very good job in managing an unbelievable hard thing to manage. Same goes for all state governments and commonwealth imo. 

 Obviously mistakes have been made, but to single out a single individual for criticism is so unfair its incredible, especially if your name is Andrew Bolt and you've spent the last 3 months campaigning against measures designed to keep people virus free.

This isn’t funny. I have seen with my own eyes the sort of failures around quarantine. Absolutely the individuals involved are responsible and while I am skeptical of all rumours being accurate, it’s 100% believable that a lack of education, protection, understanding, appreciation are considerations in this failure.

That from that point, the rate of spread indicate a further breakdown in the core actions of hygiene and distancing. These are attitudes. Attitudes are influenced by what people feel.

The Victorian administration thought fining people for fishing or going for a driving lesson was the right attitude to present, but yet holes so large at the coal face a Mack titan could drive through. Let’s do the easy stuff. Let’s talk a great game but the meat, the substance it’s awol.

The entire function and purpose of quarantine broken because of a failure of leadership.

Dan Andrews has systematically displayed an attitude of I know better. We are better.

Doesn’t need security advice on China, he has better intel. He is smarter, quicker, faster than a speeding built.

Doesnt need National guard or will go with a yes no yes no yes no.

When the national interests are at stake, when you call a state of emergency, in what world do you not ensure the integrity of the process you put in place. This is above all a failure of leadership at multiple stages.

Like his original stance on BLM protests, his attack on families doing the wrong thing, just doesn’t help.

Is it ok to say this was a failure of contract by these security companies? Well that’s certainly happened but when you call a state of emergency and you go as hard as what he did because he knew better, it’s inexcusable there wasn’t oversight of the situation by the body controlling the state of emergency.


In a state where 26 charges, not a single charge upheld under high court challenge.
In a state that attacked the countries federal stance on China
In a state used as a illegal toxic waste disposal depot without anyone knowing.
A state that ignored national security advice to enter into an agreement with China
A state level corruption scandal
And now the country’s biggest community transmission case because of a system failure where it matters most. Containment.
