Getting rid of the lady reds was a belt tightening exercise nothing more nothing less - not to mention a slap in the face for half your fan base

Now I don't know who is in charge of marketing games (us or FFA) but whoever it is either needs to pull their finger out or quit because they are doin a shit job of it. I see a lot of people in my line of work and when I said the only thing planned I have for this weekend was the reds game, the first response I get.......'Oh is there a game on?' EVERY SINGLE TIME!!!(not for just this game mind you). NEWSFLASH - No one is going to go if they don't know the game is on.... ](*,) ](*,) ](*,)

I think there is a critical difference between the adelaidereds website and the official Optus one in that adelaidereds is the domain of Adelaide United Members Club Inc as opposed to Adelaide United Football Club. These are 2 separate incorporated bodies, one of which I don't believe the FFA or Optus should have any say in whatsoever unless they are paid up financial members. I believe the members club is well within its rights to have its own website.

In regards to the Red's alternate website, the FFA can stick it's dictator-like regime up its arse. I thought we were trying to promote the game 'outside the square'? The whole competition is run like a fucking shopping centre and we're just the tenants. Adelaide United WERE "The People's Team" and we WILL return to exactly that.

Anyone notice the south end is now "the vidmar stand" and borth is" pickard stand" imo i like it, gives us more ownership of the stadium

I noticed that no goals were scored by anyone shooting towards the Vidmar end;) can we move that sign so it's always behind Eugene?;)

Noticed this. Is a nice touch and makes it feel more like home. Will take a while before people start referring to the names though :P

I was well impressed by the choice of names- first club captain and first owner deserve recognition like this. There does need to be a John Kosmina Coffee Bar though. Somewhere you can enjoy Kossie's unique brew- what I like to call the Kossicino- a little brash and bitter on initial tasting but quite smooth and refreshing as you delve deeper.

I love it too - not to mention the countless socceroos/Reds/City/oversease teams/ appearances by both Tony & Aurelio .... lol for the Kossie cafe bar :lol:

Dont bloody start - we scored our 2 on that side in the last ACL game...not to mention that's the end Bynakor scored their 2 in the 2nd half to make it 2-2

made me thnk why the East & West stands don't have one & what we would could name them....

Have to give the eastern stand some thought but Wstern grandstand I would name the Tobin Stand

Not even a small title on the back page today and it's filled with state cricket rubbish. We have a great late win and make it 6/6 points. Ffs. Media connections need to be sorted out

For a while now it seems as though the advertiser has been running far less pieces about United and football in general is being shafted back a few pages. It might have something to do with the new editor Sam weir but he has only been in charge for 6 months now.

Overall it seems that since the consortium took over general publicity is not as great as it was under bianco or even the ffa. It may just be me, but it kinda feels like there isn't that level of social connection there was a couple of years ago. I may just be clutching at straws, I don't know how others have seen it.

Noticed how everyone who posts on here, ( and even some on Football news and WATR ) still lets us slide under the radar, as did the " experts " who had the Reds as wooden spooners.

This makes me very happy, as even playing well below what we've been doing since pre-season even, we won on Friday night.
WSW are a pretty reasonable side and with a decent couple of strikers and no injuries I think will finish ahead of some more established teams.

I agree with the cricket crap, I still fail to understand how a game that attracts a few hundred and has a big loss ( again ) get so MUCH media.
I still reckon it's because it's still a W.A.S.P game

I hope so too. Val is getting worse and worse. I used to enjoy reading his articles, minus the occasional emotional language, but nowadays he is completely losing it.

Seems to be more negativity then support from him now

and for a club he apparently follows and attends every home game...

Losing(firing) Dom Rinaldo was a stupid move from the new owners IMO.

The gold seating looked pretty empty on Friday - I'll be interested to see if management end up trying to fix the seating situation.
