Bruce to sign on for another 2 seasons! http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/sport/football/bruce-djite-an-adelaide-united-player-for-another-two-years/story-fnddhv0x-1226539463782.Im quite happy with this signing. Although bruce isnt a prolific goal scorer for us he provides a lot to the team. Something that was evident on Sunday when he was taken off.

Happy with this
Happy with all our signings/extensions in the last month
Cassio Jeronimo Fereira Bruce
Hard to argue with any of that
Carrusca and Dario already contracted for next season and I'm guessing/hoping Malik is
Great signs for us moving forwards and it really IS staring to feel like Adelaide United again

A few of those don't seem too concerning in terms of them defecting. Having success and having such key players to what we're doing re-signing will hopefully help get the others across the line.

Well, at least this won't have a huge impact on our already average crowds.

In the first few minutes I guessed United were going to lose. Second to the ball virtually every pass a lazy give aways, and what was with Hugene? - He looked injured, and with him not doing his usual heroics our defence showed how poor it really is. Shit Boogard never got close enough to earn a red, give away a penalty or score an own goal We need a decent RB now! But even though we've needed one for one for a few seasons now, NOTHING has been done!
One thing for sure CCM will NEVER lose by that much, and Ange wants a RB for his mob too, so it'll be a bidding war, if we go into the market - which I've got a feeling we won't do.
Oh well glad there are other things in my life besides football.

Despite the result it was a great experience to watch the game at Parramatta and I thoroughly recommend this as an away game you must do in NSW.
Stayed at the Novatel which was only 8 minutes from the stadium.
Despite the result I will look to return again to this venue.

Good analysis here of the game against WSW. http://leopoldmethod.com.au/wanderers-6-1-adelaide-the-promise-of-goals-finally-arrives/There's also a good report on the Adelaide V Melbourne game.

Our game against SFC was so enjoyable I am tempted to watch it again rather than do anything else tonight.

May have got home last night and watched the game. Such a great game. I hope we can maintain these 10k+ crowds and get that average back last night was fantastic.

Not having ADP there was a good thing IMO, that crowd was the people willing to see AUFC play despite ADP not playing. That bears well for the rest of the season I think - of course playing so many games away over January isn't going to help matters.

I was horrified to realise we have 1 home game through january.... if we get through that still in the top two, I will be quite confident for the remainder.
however if it goes down to the last game for ladder positions/premiership, perth away scares me...

Yes it was a good game because we treated it like a training run, instead of going for the Jugular. Sydney was at its weakest all year with so many injured it was largely a youth team, and Sydney NYL are second bottom. Bit disappointed we didn't score 4-5 more goals, Victory, CCM or WSW would of and they're the teams we have to be better than.

We did hit the woodwork 4 times though.

General Ashnak wrote:We did hit the woodwork 4 times though. Yeah, I credit their keeper for this, as his save off Kostopolous must have instilled a " a few more centimetres outside the keepers reach " mentality. I'm sure McBreen would of just hit it harder. Being glib here as our strikers only had a split second to react and they were just unlucky. I'm sure that in Bulldog''s eyes they had an eternity to choose and should have used their laces to give it some violence.:d Edited by redcup: 3/1/2013 05:16:20 PM
