+xAnyone else hearing rumours of Popa to Greece? According to Louise Taffa on Twitter, he’s off to Xanthi FC. The Sydney Olympic president is involved with them apparently.

I wonder what his sons will do. Kristian is a A-League standard already, he’s been impressive in his last few games, and is only 19. Gabriel is 17, and has great experience for his age, he has looked quite off the pace at times this season and his touch often lets him down, but he has shown improvement and was a prolific scorer at junior level. Both have futures in the A-League.

Kpop looks as though he's a bolt on starter for Glory if he stays next season. If he leaves at all, I think he should return to WSW.

K-Pop is good but his younger brother isn't that good yet given his only 17.

+xK-Pop is good but his younger brother isn't that good yet given his only 17. Agree. Gabriel is getting more first team experience than any other Aussie of his age so he will improve and develop and should have a good future. As I said, he was prolific in the junior levels, and was a good prospect at WSW, playing up.

Cacace has officially joined Muscat’s club. Great signing by Kev but I think he can play at an even higher level.
Thats not a knock on the Belgian league, I think he’s just that good.

How could anyone not conclude the Belgian Liga isn’t a quality league for him...great move for him and for NZ football.

He more than likely can, but in all honesty its a great first move and a proven career map for up and coming players. He will most certainly get more game time than if he went to a more established league. I would say once he does well and he will, he will still get noticed and make a good move. Hopefully this is just a stepping stone.

There is a lot of hype around Cacace from international fans of football, apparently he's a beast on career mode on FIFA, and he's got a cult following. There are a lot of people keen to see him do well.

I said that he’s so good that he can play at an even higher level. He's more than capable we know that, I'm just saying its a very good league outside of the big 5 leagues (England, Spain, Germany, Italy and France) for him to develop his game. It will make it into a better player and make him more capable of joining a top 5 league or team in the future. There has been rumours in the past that the Belgian Liga and the Eredivisie might merge and therefore make that league ever stronger so he's at a good place.

What a window it has been so far. I bet Bowden couldn'T believe his eyes with the Mooy tweet yesterday and then seeing it deleted would've added confusion. Then it spread like a wildfire.
Still absolutely nothing on Leckie. Hertha have a game today against PSV.
Some interesting links of Irvine to AFC Wimbledon of all places.

Yep I certainly experienced a roller coaster of emotions last night! Really didn’t believe it at first - was super shocked when it turned out to be true.

Went to shop and came home and refreshed 442. To see that thread at the top seemed like an absolute prank. Was immediately apparent it was true. Dust is settling and good luck to him. Time will tell.

Perth Glory announcement expected today too. Should announce who's leaving and finally a propper announcement on Kim and Wuthrich leaving. Club also furious at Castro and feel let down. Not happy with Thomas James either

Not happy with Thomas James either Wonder why that could be? PG's recent media blockade has been absolutely terrible. There hasn't been any transparency about Castro, Popovic or James, haven't seen any updates on Ikon's recovery. If i was a glory fan id be pretty furious.

Not happy with Thomas James either The club picked Bruno over Castro, i'd be furious if i was Castro considering he is a club legend. Glory going to have a completely new team next year. From the starters, I believe only Reddy, Grant and Kilkenny will be staying.

I remember bringing up / hearing something regarding him thinking the Mariners were beneath him when they offered him a spot whilst he was playing in Canberra

Thomas James was a loose cannon in England, woke up to himself and was outstanding playing for Wollongong Wolves. Got a look at Glory at close range but Popovic couldn't care less even if he had Christian Bale at the club because his mindset is his mindset. James should go to Wanderers, they need more strikers there. D'Agostino should leave too unless Popovic has infact left.
