At the start of the season we had 2 good defensive  centres Hoppa and Harper, they rarely played those positions.

Meaney is a good fullback Averillo worth a shot at fullback, same deal.

It took a long time for Odgen to get a shot.

A lot of our problems were caused by playing guys out of position..... DWZ was a disaster at fullback.

Pay and Georgallis can take a lot of the blame, the rest is just dumb errors or players not being good enough.

We will probably run out the right side in the last round, but I think the players are mentally shot.
 

I  vote for get Tols to punch him and be suspended for 10 weeks.

New season, new coach, a few new players, it will be better, the coaches this year were clueless.

My goodness I havent seen many Panthers games this year but it just goes to show that you dont superstars in your team to play good footy.

They have a lot of talent, most of it home grown, unless a club is The Roosters or Broncos, that is the way to go.

We have quite afew home grown players ourselves... Okunbur, RSmith, Averillo, Lewis, Wakeham, Renouf, Ogden, Jacko, Doorey.

Theres plenty there. We just dont play  the game right and dont have clutch players or game managers. We certainly dont know how to win. Got no fekking idea.

To be fair there are a few gooduns that will benefit from a decent coach...

They have nurtured him in reserve grade and finally gave him a first grade shot. 

He probably had to pay the other clubs when he played junior footy.

It really shits me coz I was calling for us to sign up Ivan Cleary even before he went to Wests Tigers.

Now look at what he's done to the Panthers.

Perhaps u should look at what he did to the Tigers if you want to use the appropriate timeline...

Yeah, Teddy, Keary, 2 x Morris all Roosters juniors.

But they have way more home grown talent than normal.

The difference between us and Penrith is in just about every position they have better players, but the halves provide great direction and manage a game well.

A few years ago they were in the position we are currently in.

Coaching wise they went Cleary-Hook-Cleary probably 5 seasons and a host of good young players developed 
.
That is the formula we need to try and copy..

It started with them recruiting Jimmy Maloney.... then getting rid of him when Cleary was ready.
That is what we need, some leaders who know how to win.

Keary* I think u meamt... Don't forget Flanagan, Chrichton. SBW, TKO, Hall...

Such am amazing club that respects its juniors... In example dropping 300 gamer Aubo to play a mercenary for 15 minutes off the bench....

Aubusson was badly injured and is out for rest of season unless he can make a comeback deep into finals. 

SBW was brought in to cover the losses of Radley, Verrills and losing Mitch reinforced their decision to get him 

No suprise you know more about the Roosters than the Dogs.

It is odvious we need to improve halves and hooker.
For hooker I'm signing Brittian and moving JMK to the bench.
For the extra half Baz needs to give it some thought it might be worth waiting to 22 for the right guy.

Other than the fact Aubo is fit to play...

Averillo reminds me of Darren Lockyer .... attacks like  Lockyer, defends like Lockyer... one-on-one tackle currently a 50/50 proposition... another off season and a bit more NRL experience may change that.
