I know newcastle will try and bid for him but after his loan deal we should throw our hat in at burns even offer some of the transfer fund for burns now from the vidosic transfer they might accept if he can be recalled back from loan.

I've got a feeling that Gombau sees something in Barker-Daish, and after all he has been scoring regularly in pre-season games.

I'm more than happy with Josep's attitude and I don't think the loss of Dario is going to upset a team that is scoring for fun - albeit against NPL opposition, and Dario didn't get back and defend as much as I'd like.

He wanted to go (back to Europe) and as I say above, it was good football business. We got him on a free-> sold him for $400k before he could leave on a free in 2014. Now we save on his marquee wages too. Smart. We're just going through post-breakup blues:( A couple of wins into the new season it wont matter anymore.

Wouldn't be disappointed to see him join on loan. We're not going to find a "like for like" for Dario so best to develop JBD and strengthen where our biggest weaknesses are. Attacking players are pretty thick on the ground at Hindmarsh at the moment.

Zullo would be extremely interesting.

Zullo knows 80 percent that if he wants to go to the world up he needs to come back

but would he be a LB or LM here ?

I reckon he'd be going for that LB spot for sure.

LB in 13/14 proving to be as big a problem as RB has been for years. Not too sure how Cassio's injury is going but you'd think if he hasn't got on the park by now he'd be a long shot to be ready for round 1.

LB for sure cirio is the LM at the moment.

We have plenty of wing/mid/forward players who can swap around.

I thought in the article is said we are looking for a LM ? think Zullo will play LM and if not we know cassio can play LM so either way we have a good LM and LB option lol

Was just looking up Sergio van Dijk out of curiosity, he's unsurprisingly doing really well in the Indonesian top division... 21 goals in 27 games and 2nd in the golden boot standings, and his club Persib are 3rd with two games to play. Nice to see he's doing well :d

Maybe Steve Lustica,looks like he's leaving Hadjuk Split.

Not a bad signing. Good for depth. I class him as a central midfielder not defensive like alot of people and i don't think he will play as a defensive in the team.

He will likely be a bench player, but really good for squad depth.

So the team now in my opinion will be

Galekovic
Elrich - Mckain - Golec - Zullo
Sanchez - Malik
Ferreira - Carrusca - Cirio
Neumann

Elrich and Zullo more as wing backs
Malik and Sanchez playing as a central midfield when we have the ball and defensive when we don't.
Ferreira and Cirio more as Wide forwards with Carrusca in behind Neumann.

Except we will definitely play 4-3-3 so only one holding mid, I'd drop Malik out and bring in Lustica or Barker-Daish. Lustica is a far better passer of the ball than Malik.

Just sorting out plans for a NSW double roadtrip- Mariners on the 26th Oct & Wanderers 1st Nov. We'll be doing a bit of camping on the way there and in between the games so a decent bed and shower would be welcome. Anyone know where's good place to stay in Gosford near the stadium?
