Germany back into 'lockdown.' The term is appropriate for hospitality businesses and hairdressers but for residents we simply can meet up to 10 people from a max of 2 households. We had this in April so I wouldn't call this anything new. Businesses will be given 75% of their earnings from November 2019 for the 4 week shut down.

Interesting is 6000 active cases over a 10 or so week period saw continued restriction only to then open up again when it'd gone up to around 10k active. Of course these numbers were quite negligible for 83 million people. It was really the late summer mass weddings and travelling especially to other countries that appear to have seen it pick up. In saying that, Merkel has stated around 60% of new cases can't be tracked to the source. There have been other reports of 58 of 60 tests in Augsburg showing incorrect positives and this product being used is now under investigation. It's probably responsible of the media here to have not blown this up to fuel the doubts of some.
