We have got until June 30th to finalse our squad by adding more players, which means that the Storm also have until June 30th.
Vuli also left the Storm so perhaps Smith isn't enough for the Storm to release the Fox now.
Bellyache knows the importance of a good start to the season.
Perhaps if the Storm start well, Smith performs and the Storm sign or develop another player, they will be happy to release the Fox.
I am confident that if he is going anywhere before June 30th, we are the club.
Of course this deal isn't over the line, but we thought the punt in releasing Smith was worth it.
The Roosters recenly released a good young outside back to join another club, Chooks insiders are saying Canberra, musical chairs are far from over. Fox coming to the Dogs before June 30th is a coin toss and I am calling tails, wagging tails from a very happy Fox and Hounds.
As the yollow dude used to say ... you will all be happy... I'm confident that I can match or exceed his record ....... hang on..... opps.... bummer. Wot the hell, toss the coin baby.

+x+x+x+x+xBloody hell... Monday mornings on this page are worse than anything Marki posts... I hope Micko gives you both a Brazilian... Choke hold... Speaking of a Marki post....let's revisit one of my pet hates..... traffic rules and the ever obsession with slowing down traffic in the hope it decreases fatalities..... I noticed the other day driving past All Saints primary school in Liverpool that it is now a 30 zone. And theres a fixed speed camera on Bigge St. Why not just make it a fekking 10 zone and really decrease the risk meanwhile filling the coffers with revenue dollars? All in the name of safety they say? Fekking scumbags Not to mention the radical new idea of no speed camera warning signs... Why dont they just sign me up for direct debit every month and take my money. The reality is, I drive safer and more comfortable with eyes on the fekking road at 80kms/hr - in fact I reckon most cars and people do. Vary their speed from 80 to 40 to 60 to 80 and you see all sorts of crazy, careless shit. I used to agree mate. But if you read the study’s and follow the directions limiting speed to correct levels avoids the most fatalities. It’s a balancing act. It’s also why the extra training is encouraged for young drivers. That also ensures less collisions.
I can’t believe I’m saying this, but not putting signs for speed cameras would be the best way to stop speeding. And adding more cameras. The best way to stop speeding is having cop cars visible and driving on the road, not parked behind bushes waiting for one person speeding excessively to issue a large fine... Absolutely. How many times are you on the motorway doing 100 in a 100 zone instead of the usual 110 or 115 only because theres a cop car also driving near you? In fact I have the shits when it happens. Sometimes the cop is doing 110 himself and I wonder if I should keep with him or if he's setting me up!

The Australian design rules for Speedos state that they must not indicate that a vehicle is doing a speed greater than that indicated by the Speedo. On the other hand it can indicate a variation of10% + 4kp greater than your actual speed. Your Speedo could read 114kph when you are doing 100kph. I suppose this bias is meant to allow a fudge factor for under inflated and worn tyres. So I suspect your Speedo is always showing a higher speed than you are actually doing.

I am not sure how it works, but doesn't the police radar have a certain percentage adjustment to compensate for speedo error. I know that highway patrol cars are very finely calibrated and their speedos are spot on. And as far as the mobile speed cameras I don't know if they have any leeway for recording speed. I would hate to think that one would get a speeding fine for being 1km/h over the limit. Tyre wear alone could create that amount ofspeedo error.

I would hate to think that one would get a speeding fine for being 1km/h over the limit. Tyre wear alone could create that amount ofspeedo error. The old slant radar used to, because there was a genuine margin of error dependant on angle and distance. So people would always give themselves 10% margin. But don’t assume that no more, in fact for yeeeeeear now. It’s a common mistake people make thinking they’ve still got the 10%, but if you’ve been booked lately at even 1kph over the limit you’ll learn the hard way that’s no longer true. They use lasers these days, both fixed and cops. And they have near ZERO margin of error. Don’t believe it, challenge it in court and cop the costs too. And if your speedo’s out that’s your stiff sh.t.

+xBrent Read just tweeted Burton to Dogs done deal for 2022 Official on dogs site. Now we need the Fox for 2022. If players can come early for 21 I'm happy, if not sign players looking for an opportunity to 1 year deals. We can wait until close to June 30th to finalize the squad. Can put a reasonable 17 on the paddock with the current 27 man squad.

Excellent news re Burton. Now we need a hooker and you would think the signings of Flanagan, Cotric and now Burton hopefully make the club look like a more desirable option and will help make recruitment easier.

we should pitch for Benji Marshall to play in the halves - think Benji could fill a void giving him an opportunity to play with lil bro would be huge imo get him on the cheap too!1
can't describe how much Marshall could do for the development of the younger halves either.. I understand Barrett has his own development rolls to introduce but nothing like a players player to inject and construct influence
Pearce & Klemmer need to adjust their game if they want to lead the team into the top 4 @NRLKnightsForan & Cherry-Evens combining again could be lethal..
Britt into the starting team
sorry about the cut and paste crapping format transfer

I'll settle for Harry Grant for hooker and the Fox for fullback, I'm easy to please. 😁

+xForan & Cherry - Evens could be lethal that says.. I hope not. Foran all depends on whether his body holds up. DCE is a bit like Pearce IMO, great at times ordinary at others. Finish on top of their fowards and that kind of half disappears.. Possession is enough to grind them out of the game. Granted it is hard to swim against the tide, but Canberra, Penrith and the Storm halves can do it. Roosters side can hang in and take limited chances. Some sides have to disappoint in 21, my money is on Sharks, Tigers, Newcastle and Manly. Parra, Warriors, Broncos and the Cows very hard to call. Dogs need to add more quality talent to push for the 8. Broncos have a lot of problems, but I think Kevvie is the right man for the job.

Credit to the Reform Ticket for a few things including - putting us on track cap wise to make some quality signings, pushing some self serving people in power to the side, and ensuring those that left were replaced by what seem pretty capable people.... the club is on its way to reaping the benefits of them making several tough calls... Promised and delivered... Thank you Lynne & co...

Very happy to have signed Burton. He has huge wraps on him from the Panthers fans. Hopefully he comes over next year. JAC looks very likely to sign as well and ticks all the boxes with speed.
Tbaz is building a good fast team if we land the Fox. But we desperately need a hooker. Maybe he can make one out of Wakeham or JMK. We are also short a prop if one of Renouf or Ogden don’t make it. But next years team looks good with Burton and JAC
1. Avo 2. JAC 3. Hoppa 4. Cotric 5. JO 6. Burton 7. Flange 8. Hetho 9. JMK/Wakeham??? 10. Thompson 11. Jackson 12. RFM 13. Elliot
14. Naps 15. ???? 16. ???? 17. ????

CANTERBURY-BANKSTOWN BULLDOGS - 15th Games played against - Top eight: 13 Top four: 6 Bottom eight: 11 Bottom four: 4 Who they play twice: Titans, Sea Eagles, Knights, Eels, Panthers, Rabbitohs, Dragons, Tigers It is always going to be a hard ask for the Bulldogs given how low they finished on the ladder last week. But they have been given little help with 13 games against top-eight teams (second-most) and 11 against bottom-eight sides (second-fewest). The Knights, Panthers, Rabbitohs and Storm are all up in the opening five rounds for the Bulldogs.

I think Baz is going to try Wakeham at hooker. We also have some good lower grade players a few years away. IMO we should sign an experienced specalist hooker just to give us more depth for a year or 2.

Start is tough perhaps 2-3 easy games in the first 10 rounds. Round 1 is critical, IMO winable and can set the tone.

Odgen, Renouf Atoni and Smith likely to make the side. Doorey, Waddell or Topine likely to be a starting backrower or on the bench. Lewis or Wakeham likely to be a bench utility. Not sold on Naps, I hope he has a better 21. When I look at our squad he needs to play well to get picked in the top 17. Oden and Atoni have more impact in attack, Napa may be a significantly better defender. Thomo and Hetho good in attack and defence.
