Well that was a nerve cracker to say the least BUT a win and clean sheet is all that counts. Great effort with such a changed lineup and the mental scares of the weekend. 3 of your best out - our depth delivered today and Fabs was a legend in VVD's place - his game is so effective no matter where he plays. His heart is LFC through and through. Good he rested our front 3 mid 2nd and gave Jota/Mina/Shaq - played well. Gomez Robbo Gini had a strong game as well, TAA wasn't himself at times. Recover fellas onto the weekend. Allison back training is very positive. Thiago is just a knock and should be ok.

3points ! and 62 games undefeated at home. All that matters in the end at ths stage especially when a few of the usual challengers dropped points. Huge lift having Allison back. Game by game we're adjusting post VVD. SU made us work for it and hard to play against - I don't believe Fabs tackle early on was a pen but thats VAR. Hendo great game and the front 3 with Jota. Bobby yay off the mark. What touch by Mo on his disallowed goal that would have been his 101st !

2nd CL group game over. 2nil win vs's Midtjylland but we did it so hard. Huge changed line up that just didn't click and they were well organised making it worse. Thankful we finally put it together for our 1st goal scored by Jota who by the way has the honour of scoring our 10,000th goal ! We're in jeopardy now defensively looks like Fabs has pulled a hammy in this :( Mo earns a pen late in the game puts it away with power. Hopefully Matip is ready to step back in for next game and stays fit !!

Just WOW. Thankyou LFC. Just when your thinking we are ripe for the picking we bring out that kind of performance ! Having Antonio out was a bonus but as Moyes quoted, we had even more out as we know. Playing against 9 defending is never a easy task but the skill and movement of our boys is so good. Hats off to you young Phillips, what a debut, hardly put a foot wrong, infact I recall giving just 1 bad pass and your defense was spot on. Curtis @ 19yrs - what a player he's going to be. Everyone played the game needed and Klopp's changes were just what we needed. Shaq's pass was epic for Jota then to put it away. Jota has been a top buy. 63 games undefeated at home and equalled unbeaten league run that Bob Paisley’s Reds set in 1981, yes I watching back in those heydays :) I'm loving this so much.

I thoroughly enjoyed an Italian lunch today :) Never expected that one bit. What, a club in serie a having a great scoring record and all and we with a changed line up debuting young Williams next to Gomez, (poor fella has to have a different CB partner near on every game) - young Curtis @ 19yrs just ooze's time on the ball @ RM, and we rest Bobby for Jota to start up. Watching fromt he beginning I couldn't help thinking we're looking very good (comfortable) and for Jote to swing around putting that early goal in @ 16mins set the tone pretty much yet I had reservations they were going to come back. Alli actually looked tenetative at times and he was lucky a couple of times having let the ball loose from 2 efforts. Yet every player was digging in - Hendo and Gini really controlled the middle, pushing the card outcome that it did come for Gini. Jota a double just before HT - how nice. Expected a 2nd coming from them BUT just after resumption Salah stikes, 2mins later Mane does, 4nil @ the 49th min !!!!!!!! Salah was being unplayable at times, 3 surrouding him and he still retained the ball and gave it. Jota grabs his hattrick 54th min ! 5nil. Unbelieveable AND this was the best performance of the season to date ! We missed another 3 at least but whatever, an away CL win as such is to die for. The luxury of subbing Gini/Jones/Hendo/Jota/Robbo/TAA was bliss ! I will have some gelato tonight for desert.

thanks, quite narrative but a little slow for me. OK huge one in the morn 3.30am koff away vs MC. Thiago not ready (back after NT break) but Matip Keita and Kostas are ready to play so good to see more troops back. I'm guessing JK will play Gomes Matip but we shall see. MC need this win as much as us, for them more important having a game in hand would be a big bonus getting back up the ladder currently in 12th. We need it take us to a 4point lead on top and more so further away from serious contenders and the coming NT break a win is good medicine.

Well we take the draw under the circumstances..... We had more chances to get the lead but they also did, especially being awarded a pen that of all players DeBruyne pushs the ball outside of the post, great bonus for us. Pretty even imo. Hendo and Gini worked their butts off and I'm sure Gomez loved having Matip back, needs match fitness but overall he did the job but for a couple being caught out. Concerns with TAA pulled up with a calf strain and subbed, hopefully no NT duties in that case and might be ok the following week. 2nd on the ladder is fine at this stage of the season and what we have had to contend with.

Gomez breakdown at NT training :( On his own not from tackle sounds like knee..... Its a joke these NT friendlies during this crazy covid times and current scehdules, these games should not be going on. FIFA/UEFA followed by FA are milking it to retain the viewing contract $$$$'s at the expense of players breaking down.

Well whatever title defense we come up with now I'll be rapted under the circumstances. The injury list is near on a full 11 and counting..... In Klopp we trust - what a challenge it will be, thrilling to watch and tuff at the same time. Heart attacks and squeezing bum cheeks for sure.

yeh yeh ! must have also been the wonderful rememberance of the mighty Ray Clemance passing the other day - RIP ! as I said, in Klopp we Trust ! 7 top flighters out ! Its a credit to the whole people involved at LFC creating this kind of mentality Giants at our Club. Just wow. One of our finest wins imo considering the circumstances. Leicester were'nt alowed any room near on all game AND Maddison Vardy hardly in the game - Matip only 2nd game back, Fabs 1st game back in a month, Milly, what a game at RB ! Every single one of them showed from the kickoff were ON and you got to be very good to beat us. 64 games unbeaten at Anfield. Mane Bobby and Jota - omg it was wonderful to watch. Jota what a buy, 8 goals in 12 games. Robbo MOTM for me. We just showed the rest of them and in light of spurs good win vs City, we might be down, injuries galore but look what we can still do, bring your A game to beat us every time.

a very changed line up vs BHA and it showed in the end even though we started like a house on fire first 10 odd mins and should have put a couple away. TBH the team was good enough to win BUT inexperience showed at times putting us under pressure at the back, young Nico Williams at RB is too roar to cope at this stage. Mina at RH still isn't as creative as you'd expect but his work rate is fine. BHA gained confidence due to our high press playing balls over or behind us for fast Connolly to cause havoc, they should have got a couple as well. Nico played a silly tackle in the box giving them a pen that Thankfully Maupay pushed wide. We had 2 goals disallowed due to VAR that can't argue with BUT the late pen given to BHA after the ref went to view the VAR changed his decision giving it. Harsh decision I found it ridiculous but thats what we got to deal with today - even the Optus Sport pundits thought it wasn't one Plus Hendo post interview quoted Wellbank and other players agreed wasn't a pen, again joke of a decision.. How it goes, just as DeBruyne quotes, rules changing all the time doesn't know whats right or wrong, Hendo could have said alot but didn't to avoid a fine. How good is Jota going ! Now we have lost Milly with a hammy tear FFS. Thankfully results went our way today, a patched up Reds is doing OK under the circumstances and I can't wait till we get some troops back, Ox/Thiago for starters then TAA.

Brilliant outcome @ home vs Ajax. Through the group no concerns last game. Young Kelleher in goal great call by Klopp, couple of top saves for the young bloke what a CL debut @ 22yrs. Jones ! scores from their keepers mis judgement, importantly he on the spot to take it ! Can't complain when your not playing at your best - so many start up players missing shows what spirit LFC has. Bummer about Allison, seems we've run over a black kat defending the title BUT we're holding our own brilliantly.

I googled it and looks like they are selling dvd copies I haven't as yet, last I checked you'll be able to download it as well...... In the meantime I had concerns for this morns home game vs Wolves for they normally give us a tuff time ! Thankfully we had 2000 kopites attending yer yer...... Young Kelleher in goal for his prem debut, Nico at RB and again Curtis. Also great to see Keita and TAA on the bench - troops are getting back. So impressed with our defense and midfield ! Gini and Hendo are just assuring generals on the park and what a goal Gini !!!!!!!! Earlier superb opportunist goal by Mo, what a talent ! and Thanks Coady, our MOTM especially after your attempted going to ground for a pen and hooray VAR for a change did the job its meant to do, you should have got a yellow for that ! Every single player just keeps stepping up and doing the job, barring VVD/Gomez once the rest are back especially Thiago getting in the middle were going to be strong.

Great display to welcome the fans back with! Seeing recent form and ladder position leaves me quite hopeful about the future when current injured players make a return. If it wasn't for getting dicked by the VAR against Everton and BHA, we'd be leading by 4 points outright as it stands...

and the Fans would be loving to finally see our League Champs for the first time and visa versa. A very good tonic for the challenges ahead, having our fans there spurring them on is another important piece of the puzzle ahead. I'm over thinking what happened since the derby but that BHA VAR one stunk, where we are placed after all the injuries is brilliant as it is. I expect we will rest alot of players for tomorrows dead CL game which is great apportunity. More good news this morn is united to europa where they belong.

What a game @ Anfield, maybe Gerard was looking over us for despite our dominance and the countless missed chances Spurs had theirs thats for sure. So Alez Alez Alez Gerard we love you and Thanks for inspiration and hoodoo for the Spudz, especially Kane, he needs heading finishing tuition from Bobby :) I think thats the diff about contenders pretenders, how many games we have gone through last couple of years getting that much needed winning goal - spurs had the chances but couldn't take em whereas in the end we did ! Thats the diff. What a game guys, I love these high tense big games, we always lift to the challenge its so satisfying especiually under the injury clouds we have whoever is on the pitch just keeps delivering. Kudos to our 19yr olds - Curtis is going to be a gun player for a long time and RW, good on you debuting at CB against 2 top flight attacking weapons like Kane/Son. Happy days I'm having portugese tarts for morning tea, someone else might find them "bitter" :)

Damn how was that result vs Palace. Reminds me of last year when we totally out played the Fox's when expecting as tuff challenge. Mina hip hip hooray, finally a game things went right for him and kudos notching up his 1st EPL goal for us. I keep being amazed by our spirit and fight, no one does this better than Hendo ! what a game he had and what a beautiful goal to boot. Sadio, what can you say, yes he was pissed beiong pulled off he's hungry he wants more goals love the attitude. OMG Bobby, some keep having a dig about his ROI but we Red supporters know all too well what he does for us. Those 2 goals were sheer class and deserving to see but typically his general play is surblind. What can you say about Salah once coming on. Assists and then scores an absolute "pearler" ! Our make shift CB's keep doing the biz its amazing. Yes they could have scored early on BUT thats the huge diff just as previous week, need to score a % of chances and that we keep doing. Welcome back OX and well played, another member back. 8days break will be heaven for the lads and hopefully Thaigo is next to come back Milly hopefully and Jota hopefully late Jan, its looking good. Merry Christmas Reds 3rd time top of the league at this stage.

Emphatic result against a team who (in the first half at least) were decent enough to have legitimately scored 3 goals of their own. The two things that are most promising at the moment are: 1) Having an injury-ravaged squad yet still being able to turn in a result like Sundays- and being outright league leaders 2) Seeing the teams challenging LFC most closely, all notably less consistent. Difficult to say at this point who is even the defined main challenger- Spurs? Leicester? Chelsea? Man United? The lead isn't as pronounced as it was 12 months ago and the January transfer window could throw in a few twists and turns, but LFC's form has been consistent for the past 18 months, apart from that brief dip last season after the title was already sown up. The fact they've been able to stay in such good form with the players out augurs well for the months ahead.
There are only two intellectually honest debate tactics: (a) pointing out errors or omissions in your opponent’s facts, or (b) pointing out errors or omissions in your opponent’s logic. All other debate tactics are intellectually dishonest - John T. Reed

Well said also CH. Our backbone is amazing as mentioned being leaders and the inconsistancy of contenders. Our depth has proved its worth to date and one wonders if any of the other contenders would have kept prevailing as we have with so many of the main squad injured and more so losing our 2 main CB's the rest of the season, how would have they overcome similar. Hopefully our worst luck is over whereas what will the others suffer in the future, surely with the amount of games they will incur an injury or 2 to key players. You failed to mention one who is picking up some momentum, city, despite not scoring like they had they are slowly creeping back but their Jan fixtures and some will test out their resiliance. Only 4points from 2nd with a game in hand. If and when In form I would still rate them better than the rest but time will tell. The window may present some curve balls yes but I'm hoping won't transform contenders into LFC beaters :) I reckon its all in our own destiny defending this treasured title, if anything the euro games could present some curve balls.
