I think Moon is doing a good job but this is not a top 4 team. Scraping into the finals will be a good result with the players Moon has.

It can’t be a top 4 team if they can’t score right. Put a finisher in to the Perth, Jets, WU and the MacArthur game and there’s an extra 11 points .... that’s top 4 form

My prediction throughout this season is that they are not title contenders. I was hoping they may have been at least top 4 however mid table seems to be where they may end up. This realism might upset a Roar activist or two in this thread.

Most games are decided within 1 goal. IF only all the teams who just missed out had a better finisher.

For my part, I know how big an IF I put on their form. And for one more - IF they don't score consistently there is no way in hell they are contenders, and midtable will be a fortunate result. Score some and midtable is something we would be in a battle for.

That said, I still believe in this team and know they will be better than they are now. I hope to be watching goals go in for us every game from now on. Do that, and we can argue about mistakes in defence costing us games.

I am also not worried about our position in the table. Lose a few and we drop. Win a few after that and we rise again. I want us playing better first - then we can look at how high we can climb back.

I know I shit stir roar a lot, but truth be told, if McLaren, Fornaroli or La Fondre  was your nine your team is leading the comp with the chances you've created. Money has to be spent in the right places.

As I’ve said before, I find this team better than last seasons, is more enjoyable to watch and provides improved elements of individual football skills. All done with mostly Oz players. How good is that.

If the club owners only had ambition to pick up a real top quality player or two. Might have been better situated on the table.

When Melbcityguy posted his team of the year I was tempted to put the Roar team with McLaren leading the line. Would have been half serious too.

Scotty is good in settling the side with young guns but he is not a class ball distributor or play maker.

It’s debatable whether Roar is a better team this year than last.
When we were climbing the ladder prior to Covid,AON and Inman were playing well and  Scomac was making a big contribution.
The football played was agonizing to watch at times.But AON allowed JOS and Scomac to create around the penalty box.
Fast forward and we are a more mobile team but no AON,Inman and Scomac has never hit the same standard.
Daly,Akbari and Champness are serviceable players without impacting any games.
Danzaki makes some impact ,but mostly its random.
GolGol not as good as AH who left.
Trewin not as good as Neville.
In fact no young players are making an impact unfortunately.Which is a shame when we look at other teams.
But it may be a hard ask for young players to be impact players ,when most of the senior players aren't either.Brown and Hingert for example.
Add in a quality midfielder and striker  and they can make others look good.

Last season they were more capable of grinding out results and played ugly to do it. Mind you last seasons teams were overall less competitive too. 

I would say last season we were a better team (caveat is wait a couple more months before deciding).

Sounds like it is pretty horrendous conditions all over with BOM warnings for the whole region.

I can see Jamie taking a goal kick and having it loop back over his head towards the goal - only for him to make a spectacular leaping save and deflect it over the crossbar for save of the week.

Kudo slated to start over Danzaki but I assume those two will change over at some point in the second half. 

LOL.......I can picture that. Jamie does tend to use a sand iron as a foot, ball spinning back. Most women goalkeepers can hit a ball better and further than him.
