Isnt it racist to assume that only people of one ethnicity would play for or support an Australian Club?

Probably because they didn't want some wind-up merchant on 442 seeing how easy it was to rile up the local serial pest. Why dont you try Il Globo next? They might have a story on why cats dont like pasta? Just had a memory of nonna putting leftover pasta in the cat's bowl aha Hahahaha Same, Growing up cats and dogs in our house always ate better than some of the neighbour's kids. hahahahha I was about 5 or 6 at the supermarket with mum once and asked her why there where all these cans with pictures of cats and dogs on them in the pet aisle....

Yeah Oakleigh was always a fairly small suburban state league club but since the demise of the NSL and the fact that at the time children of Greek migrants started flocking back to the area as the property prices went up and their parents where dying off leaving them with a nice property. Also Oakleigh has become a hub of nationalistic "Greekness" and they see themselves as rivals to the mighty Hellas ... classic small man syndrome. They play in front of 50 people all season and then when they play South or Heidelberg or Knights they get every hero in the area to come and cheer for Choakleigh against the past giants....

You mean like those supporting Rockdale Illinden, Preston Mac, Sth Melbourne , Sydney Croatia, Melbourne Croatia, Brisbane Olympic, Floreat Athena, Marconi, Sydney Olympic and Apia Leichhardt?? There are a wide lot of nationalities that support these Aussie clubs, no doubt. We all live and work here, most pay taxes. All I have to say is Aussie Aussie Aussie, oi oi oi!!! There's word spreading atm that they're throwing monster cash at anyone and everyone, as it's proving quite tough to convince players to leave their club for Jack Edwards Reserve. It's quite clever for them to have postponed the game for this reason, when realistically... it's just so they can strengthen their squad.

There's word spreading atm that they're throwing monster cash at anyone and everyone, as it's proving quite tough to convince players to leave their club for Jack Edwards Reserve. It's quite clever for them to have postponed the game for this reason, when realistically... it's just so they can strengthen their squad. They [Oakleigh] have got no CB's at the club mate, and let's be honest: Preston have a NPL1 capable squad too. It's not like they're playing a bunch of amateurs, Preston are a talented outfit that would push a fully healthy Oakleigh to their limit. It's something that's been talked about quite a bit in the past fortnight, and I know two lads [both are CB's] that have been offered good money to go to OC, but they both elected to stay at their current clubs.

They're still in the market for another few players, due to the injury crisis they're in the midst of.
