+xIn the 5 games to date, no less than 8 players have scored for Spurs. Last season, Kane scored 40%+ of their goals. 7 players have scored in the league and Richarlison also scored in EFL Cup League goals. Son 3 Romero, Kulu, Maddison 2 Richarlison, Sarr, Emerson

+x+xAs much fun as it's been watching Ange, besides Man U (and that's arguable), they haven't played a contender yet. He's been pretty lucky with the draw they've had an easy run in to the season start. Could have been horrible if they played a few of the big guns early. But loving the ride so far. 3 of the first 4 away. first home game against a team they had never beaten at the new stadium. Brentford away is especially difficult. It was tricky start with banana skin games and they passed with flying colours. Of course the litmus test will come over the next 2 weeks. But they also haven't scratched the surface just yet. +xjust needs a draw from the next two big games and then can get a run going till they play city in Dec. They should be able to beat this Chelsea team. Yep, get through the next 2 games without a loss and they could very well go undefeated until they play Citeh in early December (notwithstanding injuries and suspension). +xThe best thing that could've happened was for Kane to depart. AP's teams are more of a collective unit spreading responsibilities - big heads or allowing the team to focus / over rely on one player aren't tolerated by Ange. He's definitely made a difference, but to cream it against the big boys, he needs a bit more unpredictable skill in his set up and the odd player that can do it. My opinion anyway. I wouldn't be surprised if Ange told Levy to let Kane go. Ange-Ball doesn't rely on one large focal point (i know Kyogo scored 27 goals in the league for Celtic last season, but it was still less than a quarter of the total goals, compared to Kane scoring 43% of Spurs goals). Plus Kane isn't known for his pressing. At least there's some here with common sense. Couldn't agree more.

+x+xPGR, have you watched Tottenham this season? You don't see a difference from this year to last year? Kane leaving was the best thing? What planet are you on? Postecoglou game is all about the system. It requires the front 3 to work collectively in attack and defense. It requires they do a lot of pressing. It requires flexibility in their role. It requires complete buy-in from all the players-Kane already had one and half feett out the door. Postcoglou wouldn't have cried in his cornflakes when Kane left, lets put it that way. Exactly

I don't disagree but Kane is quality and would have definitely played a key part.

I think Kane would have been a great asset to Anges system as he has proven to be an adaptable player at times, with great finishing and good technical ability... I dont disagree that maybe letting Kane go was Anges desire but I think that may have been more because of attitude or personality ... guy had one foot out of the door before Ange even got the gig.

+x+xKane actually wasn’t the big head who was the prob in Spudz.
Dier and a couple of others were the main cancer influence. fyi o great one. Oh for sure he need new recruits back for starters. Dier & Lloris from what I remember from that Amazon doco. I'm pretty sure back in the day Danny Rose threw Mourinho under the bus as well. Dier, Lloris, Hojbjerg and Kane from memory.

There is Nothing unique about AP's tactics/systems, all been done before. Its the man management that sets some apart and players buying into it. Nothing new here. As for key players like Kane going, happens every season you move on.

+xSo far, I have to say I don't see a major difference with Spurs in the PL in the same way we witnessed the difference between Brisbane Roar and other A-League clubs at the time (class comparison aside). I wish him all the best but he's got some critical recruiting to do. Until then, there will be losses that will deflate the current bubble, with the first one coming up next game. Rumoured to be targeting Mikel Merino, a high quality Spanish cm/dm.

Apart from having to do what he's done without Harry Kane you mean? To back Richarlson & bring him on when he did and somehow win that game, shows the massive difference he's making at Spurs. Well we know, no one would have called they'd be in P2 thats a given :) Pretty normal pundits questioned him, no diff to all the goss pre Hoops and JL.. The only thing that has been fortunate has been the huge shuffling amongst many of the other Clubs (largest transfer and movements) and in the big picture the ONLY constant is Pep and City once again. (at this stage its still who's racing from P2 down.) You can only play whats in front of you and he's come out of it damn good to date for all to see, TBH you couldn't have seen Spurs go any lower from last season for the rot has to stop sooner or later unlike United :) There is a team that took advantage of last years club shuffling and tripped over the Top4 line somehow and look at them after 5 games. Imagine IF AP took them with all that resource compared to TH. I think his aussie attitude really changes peoples/players mindset. Doesn' play the mind games like many, throws a joke in, he's so out of the usual typical euro coach, I think thats what make Pep/Klopp such good coachs, their personality and connect with their players/staff and then enrichs the supporter base, its a drug.

+x+x+x+xgood luck to him and them - kudos on the very late late win against a promoted side and @ home - what I love about the EPL is the competition top to bottom. The Blades would be gutted having put up a great fight with just 29% possession...... 7 shots to 28 ! 2 corners to 15 ! I'd be way concerned with all that momentum and running the game it took 90+10 to win it let alone level the score not long before then but alas a win is a win. Now to see what these 5 games lead meeting Gooners away. They are great fun to watch though mate.... If nothing else, the constant forward movement and attacking intent will produce goals... I think Ange would be pleased that his players kept going the whole match and found the path to goal to secure the 3 points... Many a PL squad would throw everything and the kitchen sink at the game in the last 10 minutes against a stubborn defence, lose their shape and end up with nothing.... The Arsenal game will be a great watch, pitty its the same time as the reds.... The finish was just so typical of Ange's teams. The amount of times Brisbane pulled a win out of their arses with 5 or 10 to go was amazing. Bit of a mantra of his with this 'we never stop' thing. BR times longlong ago, Yoko/Hoops scored countless times through the halves. Alot changed since then especially having finishers. I really don't see any EPL team stop or give up the ghost late in games, its just too full on.yer jas88 - lets see what they get over the next 2 games but damn there is some tuff games even before meeting City like your optimism. Gooners LFC later Fulham CP Chelsea lets see IF Poch by then has them in any form of rhythem Nov 7. Wolves played LFC off the park 1st half the other night. Villa City Dec 3. Hammers Toons Dec 10. Great stuff mind you. Hey mate, If that was aimed at my comment, I dont mean that any EPL team gives up the ghost late in the match its just that most clubs seem to go into "frantic mode" even the Reds sometimes. (Ok the Toon match was a forced change because of the red but you get my point I hope?) Some managers go four at the back and bring their full backs higher, they switch the wingers, they bring on a AM etc, etc... Not saying it doesnt work but what I like about Ange is that the same amount of chances are created throughout the whole match (apart from natural ebbs and flows of possession and momentum) and players brought on are slotted into similar roles as what goes off. Its not that scientific, pretty blunt numbers game if you ask me... Make 40 chances a game and you'll get 2-3 goals a game..... And Maddison?!?!?! Holy shit when was the last time you saw a "true #10" play in EPL? Everything, and I mean, everything goes through him, he even drops so deep to pick up the ball.... Its great to watch after so many years of hard pressing, possession and fast counter English football...Whatever happens, at least the bloke isnt going to die wondering eh? Havent been so keen for a Liverpool v Spurs match in a very very very long time.... Hope we beat them obviously but have a feeling the cagey old wog may have other ideas.....

Easy to say this in hindsight but the only analysis that matters is what was said at the start of the season and not what is being said after 5 games. If you look back on it, MOST pundits were ridiculing Ange and you'd be hard pressed to find anyone that said Spurs would be sitting 2nd after 5 games and unbeaten. Ange has exceeded everyone's expectations so far and that is an undisputed fact, no matter what you think of the teams he's come up against.
