+xI think the SPFL rules are that if three or more players are on international duty, a game can be postponed. That means that the game against the zombies could be potentially postponed if Celtic ask for it but I think Ange has said they will play all their games as is. Don't kid yourself, they Have Dalglish spouting for a posponement already. It's what they do, get the press to do their bidding.

+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+xCeltic completing 680 passes per game only behind Man city in Europe. Good to see Craig Moore unable to say anything decent on sky sports news Do you win a trophy for that ? :) Why do you bother posting in this thread? You don't seem to mind inane posts about how many passes a team makes. It is a Ange/Celtic thread so I come to read anything related to the two, not to read your complaints. Why don't you make a thread for your team and talk about them all you want? Erm, Pass ! Being pedantic, it is also an Australian football thread. Celtic don't really qualify. Is this a sly dig at Postecoglou not being born in Australia? Tsk tsk I thought we had all agreed to forget about that? :) It's about the Irish Scottish team from Glasgow who are actually British :) The thread is actually about the Greek born coach who is actually Australian :).. lololololol Except he is Greek lololololol. Australian means born here FGS, just like you were :) He has spent most of his life in Australia. He would consider himself Australian or even Greek Australian. Who are you to tell him he is not? It's like saying Nicole Kidman is American and can't be Australian because she was born there and not in Australia. So many Australians were born overseas.. they are still Australian. Maybe our grumpy teddy bear is on the board of one of the APL clubs or even the Apartheid football federation of Australia (AFFA for short) and simply cannot accept a player or club being born of/in Greece and then identifying legaly as Australian...... its a terrible conundrum. The only problem i have with Aussies, is the ones that were born here and proclaim themselves to be something else. Prime examples are Greeks,Ex Yugoslavs and Lebanese people. I work with plenty of them and none of them say they are Australian despite never stepped foot in so called " Home country ". You simply just cannot make up your nationality. You should tell them to go back to their own countries filthy animals..... What about the ones that have actually visited or were born overseas? Are they allowed to speak another language other than the queen's English? Would it help if they maybe wore a sign on their clothes or something so you "pure dinkum die British Australians" can identify which is which? +x+xRiley McGree joining Ange, Rogic and 4x Japanese players at Celtic would be a dream come true for Aussies Abroad / Asians Abroad followers. That's now the 3rd Aussie player (Ryan, boyle and mcgree) that Celtic have started negotiating with since Ange took over.. but shooshhhhh dont tell all the retards on here at the start of this thread that said "none of our players are good enough for celtic" and "Ange doesnt owe Australian football anything." Im a celtic fan, watch them week in and week out and can tell you that along with the 3 aforementioned names Mooy (over every CM bar Rogic), Sainsbury (over Welsh and possibly Starfelt), Souttar (over Welsh and starfelt), Smith (over scales and possibly Taylor) and Behich (over scales and possibly Taylor), would all get at least squad rotation minutes. Dead set, we must be the only nation of fans who talk down our players :( You don't know how wrong you are with that last sentence. Go back to the initial pages of this thread - people starting getting hopeful with Ange's signing that Celtic would buy some aussies, which was met with the typical eurosnobbery of "our players aren't good enough." We made a big play at Ryan who turned us down for Sociedad and now are in advanced talks for McGree and Boyle. Do you know what the LAST sentence is ?

When it was rescheduled it looked as though Rangers were going to look at postponing it due to players at the AFCOM. Ange then comes out in the media with his "don't give me violins "patter and said they will play no matter what. That is beginning to swing. Remember they lose these players for THREE matches , not just the big one. Will they ask for postponements in them also ? we all know the answer to that.

If the rules state the game can be postponed, why are you having a go at Celtic? Get the rules changed.

+x+x+xA question for the Celtic fans in this thread: I’ve just noticed that there are games scheduled throughout the January international break whilst Japan and the Socceroos are playing. Is that normal? Or is this upcoming FIFA Window only for AFC teams or something? 🤔 it's a replacement window for the afc and it's not a fifa window so clubs are not required to release players Oh brilliant. CONCACAF have games also. Surely clubs will be understanding. If the games can not be postponed, and clubs don't have to release the players, then the clubs should make a stand and take the selfish route and not release the players. Far too much at stake to be without so many key players all at once (on top of any players who may/are missing via injuries etc). That said, I'm bias and I sit on the Club before Country side of the fence, so my opinion is probably worthless here.

What I want/would rather is for no players going away on International duty and the game to played as scheduled. But... If the club is going to be without so many key players over such a period (on top of any potential players missing via injuries/suspensions etc), then I want to see the club doing all they can to see that we are not handicapped in anyway/as little as possible. If that means using rules that are not ideal (no one wants a back-log of fixtures) then use them.

+x+xMcGree reportedly signed by Celtic for £3M. Great stuff. One more reason to follow Scotland's biggest club with a keen eye. The most important overseas club to australian football since the leeds early 2000's team. In the 02/03 season there were 7 Australian players on the books at leeds!! Plus the coach Terry Venebles was ex Socceroo manager.
