+x+x+x+xThe top ten below, and the sports/ing competitions that attached to them in 2021 (doesn't include individual clubs). I couldn't actually find a page for ALeague sponsors. Telstra - AFL, NRL Toyota - AFL, CA KFC - CA, NRL KIA - Aust Open McDonalds - AFL Chemist Warehouse - AFL, NRL, Aust Open Vodafone - CA Ford - Host Plus - AFL Emirates - Aust Open A few of those are sponsors of A-League clubs. There might be a few others as well. KFC sponsors MV Maccas sponsors MC, SFC, AU & CCM Hostplus sponsors MC Isn't there a Maccas' logo every time someone scores in a match? Not sure if it still is but Maccas was the VAR sponsor. So every time we see a VAR replay, we see the Maccas logo. Do they still do that- I thought Maccas pulled out once they realised how unpopular VAR is.

Does anyone know if the Victory vs Jets match was FTA in Victoria only? I saw that 65K metro number but someone said 29K in Victoria watched the Victory vs Jets game: https://www.mediaweek.com.au/tv-guide-beijing-winter-olympics-week-two/ https://tvtonight.com.au/2022/02/saturday-12-february-2022.html

10 had the SFC game in NSW and the MV game in VIC. I'm curious, which game did people in QLD, SA and WA get on FTA?

I wonder if anyone in Australia bothered to watch the Superbowl during work hours on FTA today? Probably not as it is trying to appeal to a young demographic like the Aleagues are and under 30s dont have televisions apparently eh?

On 10, a repeat of Bondi Rescue had 89,000 viewers before 62,000 watched the A-League match between the Melbourne Victory and Central Coast Mariners.
so the match actually lost viewers

The pub was rocking last night, 6 TVs going, they had aflw Richmond v West Coast on 3 of them, on the other 3 they had Sydney Kings v Illawarra NBL, which I think was on ESPN.
How can you not have a single TV on 10? That’s with Victory playing as well, pretty staggering.

To put it in perspective i watched the 2020 pre Christmas Victory v City derby at this same pub and they had half the tvs on ABC showing the game. Either they had no idea it was on or the whole thing has completely fallen off a cliff over the 24 months. Bumped for 2 interstate nbl teams is absurd.

There's a Macca's banner everytime a goal is scored and it's they sponsor the match highlights videos.

Any pub I've gone into and said do you mind putting the soccer on they'll usually do it if they have multiple TV's.

Cricket especially the BB is in crowd and ratings steep fall.....Super Rugby is in small decline this season to date after a growth spurt when the 9 Stan took over broadcast ... Super V8's were down the previous year...
Tis interesting as a broader question is say traditional sport under threat from non sporting actives and E-games... I have three boys in their 30"s and non watch sport one is into egames... another into broad games.... the other not into sport at all....
I just wonder aloud if we are well into a demographic shift and sport is being replaced by other actives

It's like young people always like bands when nobody knows about it then abandon them when they become mainstream. NBL is probably even taking some of the newer "looking for something cool that other people aren't into when I'm young" crowd
