+xfeels weird to have socceroos playing overseas but not getting picked in the 11 to play for the national team, still sticks with the a-league boys lol The AL boys are world beaters after all

+x+xKaracic full game in a win. His team are now top. Let's hope they continue winning rest of the season So irvine, genreau and karacic all in teams looking likely for promotion metcalfe and mcgree also a chance of playing first division next year Add to that the players in europa and possibly even champions league such as juric and rogic. Fact is there is some positive signs there but arnold needs to pull his finger and and play the right players.

But yes I think there are very positive signs. Can we plausibly get an entire 11 which are first choice either for a big 5 team or a europa team?

https://twitter.com/futbol_vertical/status/1496914452146499584Damn it! Ryan saves the pen but then it's rolled back to an oncoming opponent. Unfortunate not to be able to push it away or something but he kept it out first time.

Ryan had to scramble after his pass was intercepted. Bloody midfielder wanted it though and then just stands and lets the ball roll to him. Ryan with a stop from close range but directly at him.
Ryan caused the penalty. Ball into box and Ryan slides in for striker to take it and push it to the side and Ryan collects him. Poor timing unfortunately. Ryan nearly redeems himself but the save is put away by Orban.

Rogic unable to do much against a disciplined Bodo. Hopefully Juric comes on and bags one for Dinamo
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Good save by Maty. Does well again 30 seconds later to punch a swirling deflection to prevent a corner

2:0 Leipzig. Ball lost in midfield then lack of press allowing an out swinging shot hit the roof of the net for Ryan to be out of reach.

3:1 Leipzig. A very good penalty but Ryan does go the right way. I think the placement was so good that only a very tall keeper with a bit of a jump forward and already being stepped the to left would've gotten there.

All the talk about Valpato lately, nothing much was said about how well McGree played in his first start for Middlesbrough. I watched the replay & he was outstanding - commentator continually mentioning him throughout the game. Middlesbrough's fans very happy with him on social media. Great signs for the Japan & SA games. Now we need for Boyle, Mabil & Juric to get into some goal scoring form.

+x+xMcgree Secondary assist for their 1st goal & shot on target. Looking very good Since when has, secondary assist, been something? A real question. There’s often very good/clever passing of the ball before a goal is actually scored. Watch the highlights and see how good Mcgree did

Deng and Arzani both did alright at Olympics yet are both struggling now in 2nd division leagues

Network 10 are advertising they are showing the final rounds of the FA Cup, so McGree and Middlesborough will be on FTA. I believe its next week.

For a player with so much promise to only be in J2 (and seemingly not playing) at 23 is super disappointing. He’s probably just not very good. He had a reasonable Olympics l but that’s mostly just because he looked poised and comfortable on the ball rather than doing anything substantial with it.

Possibly another who will feature in the "what country to choose to represent" list in the future.

Kalik starting - another who starts every week with good record & playing in decent league, but never gets discussed for some reason. I guess we are pretty much covered at #8 & #10 - we just need some top level wingers & strikers
