+x+x+xok, for "aleague fixtures" this is what I got: yes, you can find the fixture but it appears on generic websites like eurosport and theroar. finding a website for the aleague is a mystery. This keepup thing is an embarrassment. Looking at the first three options that came up, as in the top three options (the next three are no better), we have: - Eurosport - might be up to date with the fixture, but I'm not going to there to look - a press release from November last year - the Roar would be just showing the original fixture released last year, which, as we all know, is pretty useless at the moment. As others have intimated, Keep UP doesn't even come up as an option. That's ok, I'll go there anyway, but the crucial point is that at no stage have I ever been able to get clarification as to whether a game has been postponed. I'll hear about it first on twitter, I'll go to Keep UP, and there will be absolutely nothing on it. Also, I'll go there to check injury updates - nothing. When you click on the link I posted yesterday do you get the fixture? ( https://www.google.com/search?channel=crow5&q=aleague+fixtures#sie=lg;/g/11q2yb6y_2;2;/m/04r4rv;mt;fp;1;;) At the moment that's probably the quickest place to access an accurate fixture. The other best option is the FotMob app which is available for both iOS and Android. This always has up to date fixtures and really good live game stats and text based commentary. As for the KeepUp website. This is the official A-Leagues website. If you go to https://www.aleague.com.au (which was the old one) it forwards directly to https://keepup.com.au. It needs a lot of work and in it's current state it's unfortunately not great resource and borders on unusable. Hopefully they sort it out one day, but right now don't waste your time.

Finding fixtures, results, highlights, etc... for the A League is easy. Anybody who tries claiming otherwise is foolish
Thats not what I was saying. I was a long time fan so I had established my ways of finding information. Wikipedia was good until they stopped having week by week results (like the AFL wiki page) and started using a Pokemon element chart that takes a degree to decypher. I can never work out who is playing who or who won the game
The pattern I had established was to go to the official A League website for ladder, fixtures and results. Tried googling it the other day (as I had deleted my bookmark) and couldnt find it. Tried a direct link and kept getting a spinning wheel (maybe the redirect only works on some browsers). Couldnt find it or any clue it existed. To make matters worse I had left before the rebranding (didnt realise the W League was renamed until not long ago). I had no way of finding it
Dont forget, this is the official website. Without this being accessible then the only message the fans get is controlled by 3rd party websites, and we know how that winds up sometimes
The Socceroos was easy to find. You have the socceroos URL or football australia. But WTF is Keep Up and why is the brand lost in a generic sports site that includes international results?
Its obvious burying the game on a streaming platform 2 people subscribe to has been detrimental to the league. And once we start to see 300k-500k for the upcoming Socceroos games that pick and choose will become a bit more obvious

It's definitely a bizarre choice to drop not use the www.aleague.com.au domain name for anything other than a redirect. Especially seeing as it was already established. They pretty much threw any analytics and search rankings down the toilet.

Just stumbled across a discussion on twitter about the NRL ratings being lowish for the first game (they actually started last night, I honestly didn't know that).
The Fox ratings look pretty good: 258k. Any sport would be happy about that. The FTA ratings look so-so: 426k.
So that comes in at under 700k in total, I guess for the opening night of the NRL, that's not considered too flash.

Just trying to find the ratings for Sat night. Someone asked the question on the TV Tonight site, and the response:
A League is too low, I don’t have it…. below 33k.

I did see that quote on tvtonight as well "below 33k," for a Macarthur home match. Before that the lowest viewership was 42K for a Western United home match. It goes to show how disinterested people are in these newer clubs.
Total ratings so far 20/11: 146K (102K metro) [Sydney derby] 27/11: 88K [Adelaide vs City] 4/12: 85K metro [Sydney vs Newcastle] 11/12: 89K metro [Adelaide vs Victory] 18/12: 63K metro [Melbourne derby] 26/12: 57K [Victory vs Western United] 1/1: 72K [Adelaide vs Wellington] 8/1: 84K metro [Victory vs Adelaide] 15/1: 56K [Adelaide v City, Sydney vs Brisbane] 22/1: 45K [Sydney vs Perth] 29/1: 42K [Western United vs City] 5/2: 110K metro [Victory vs Central Coast - FFA Cup Final] 12/2: 65K metro [Sydney vs Western United, Victory vs Newcastle] 19/2: 62K [Victory vs Central Coast] 26/2: 79K [Sydney vs City] 5/3: 80K [Sydney Derby] 12/3: "Below 33k" [Macarthur vs Western Sydney]

Haven't seen the A-League ratings for last Saturday.
In the meantime, I heard a couple of weeks back that they were going to publish the Kayo ratings. I haven't seen any recently, but sports industry has done a couple of interesting tweets lately.
Firstly, he reckons the NRL is running at a 1:1 ratio between kayo and Foxtel Sports (as in the set top box). That's quite extraordinary because the NRL ratings are so good on Fox. He mentioned one game that got 272k on both platforms. That's a very big rating for STV.
Then only today I saw this tweet about the AFL:
AFL Ratio of Kayo to STB: 0.83 AFL R1 STB 1.769m AFL R1 Kayo 1.471m
As a total, across all 9 games, that's around a combined rating of 360k per game, which also pretty good for STV.

Fam there is hardly any promotion about the socceroos my family/friends were watching carlton.
I get the a league not having ads that’s one thing but the socceroos playing in a do or die match needs a bit of hype

A quick Google tells me the game against Saudi rated 447k (home game, similar sized opposition) There is also a headline about how the investment by channel 10 has paid off which I cant click on because of an unsafe website warning. Can't see similar headlines for the recent spate of ratings
300k tells me two things: 1/ Interest in football as a whole is waning 2/ Interest in the A League is about 15% of interest in football as a whole
It was a nice thought that people couldn't find the main channel 10. I'm sure we can also throw in about how rain stopped people from watching it at home. Or maybe there was a chess game on somewhere
The people who thought the channel we were on would actually make a difference simply don't have a valid point. Myth gone. Busted
We had everything we needed with the Foxtel / SBS TV deal but we were too busy chasing fairies instead of accepting our place in the sports market and trying to build on what we had. Too many years wasted and the game has clearly paid the price on and off the field

Agree about Fox/SBS, that was easily the very best broadcasting arrangement we ever had. It's extraordinary to think that FFA management actually worked towards permanently destroying the partnership rather than trying to create something for the long term. There was a time, around 2010, when we actually got over 400k in ratings on Fox for a game against Japan. For a while, it was a record rating on Fox. The new broadcast arrangement is a road to nowhere.

How do ratings for the Socceroos go from 447k against Saudi A (if that is true) , down to just 300k for an almost do-or-die prime-time home game against our biggest rivals ?
Something seems horribly wrong.
