Grdic definitely should be there so not sure why he’s not been picked. Must be injured. Circati and Volpato have declared for Italy, at least at underage level.
For those who could feel a little unlucky, maybe Mo Toure, Cameron Cook, Gomulka, Aquilina and Natta.
Mo’s out injured. Yengi was definitely robbed though. Yengi named.

Our U20 drawn with Iraq, Kuwait and India for the U20 2023 Asian Cup qualifiers. All games will be played in Basra, Iraq. Group winners and 5 best runners up will make tournament in Uzbekistan. Wonder if China will take part, they’ll probably still have Covid zero policy in October. North Marianas often pull out of youth tournaments last minute. Anyway, I’m up for a road trip to Shepparton for this.

Iraq is an interesting choice of host. Still classified by Oz govt as do not travel and exit immediately. I wonder if any other AFC teams will be worried about security there.

So with Folami and Metcalfe left out of Socceroos squad surely there should be some way to include them in Olyroos squad - both qualify by age. With Covid these days surely it’s not hard to engineer the sudden need for some injury replacements
