+x+x+xGreat win, we have been building towards it. Potter is a fairly good coach. Attack and defence much improved. If we only won two games all year… Totters and Scum are it!!!… Rorters* I’m assuming we haven’t heard from Marki as he is celebrating his first week as Bulldogs coach… there can be no other explanation…
See Micko, it’s easy… throw it around… push up in support…
I still think there should be one punch on Moses allowed every game… One punch on Moses is the minimum and probably comes from the ref.

Credit to the players moving on Vaughn, JMK and even Dufty in reserve grade still having a go. They could easily just go through the motions. They already have next year sorted.

Was tossing whether to go to the game or not. Made a decision to not go on Saturday and then changed my mind halfway through first half of reserve grade today. Didn't get to see the end of reserves as planned but geez was I happy to have seen first grade.
Just watching the team in their warm up and I could sense a level of intensity in them. Jumped on sportstab and nailed the 13+, just unfortunate that my multi had total game +44.5 which cost me.
It made a huge difference to put first points on the board and although we scored a number of tries from kicks and intercepts, we played incredibly well throughout the game and deserved to put the eels to the sword. Good hard metres and scrambling defence from the forwards.
This was probably our best game in ages and a real confidence booster. Hope we can continue the confidence with kicks behind and good backline movements.
Well done to the club, coach and players. They were ready from the get go.

I think we've got a good one in Kiraz. I can see why Alamott has got a run in first grade yet. He seems to lack lateral movement and turn and chase speed. He has other attributes though and is young so he can develop.

Hayward quiet, didn't overplay his hand. Let BBO be more dominant which is understandable at this stage of his career.

He has other attributes though and is young so he can develop. 20 runs for 229m 1 x try 1 x line break 4 x offloads 6 x tackle breaks 1 x making Gutherson a fool oh, and a kick…. sort of. Immense numbers that he’s been building up to every week. Not a bad game yet in a badly performing team. Genuine talent, physical presence, mature. Poster on the FB site says he replied when asked his preferred position is FB. I think right now he’s next in line and when he gets the opportunity that’ll be that. Too talented to be stuck on one side. Let him roam.

Zef, my son and I spoke to him after the Penrith match and he told us that FB is his preferred position.

Too talented to be stuck on one side. Let him roam. Both Kiraz and Averillo were great and would reckon they have tied up their respective positions for the year. Raymond Fatala-Mariner has given a lot of energy to the team and the forwards seem more energetic as well. TPJ wanted to kill someone and I think he almost did. The offloads were great yesterday especially the last try. The Kiraz try for mine was the pick and kudos therein to Flanagan. I think Kiraz fooled the commentator as well as Gutherson. He obviously has a great football brain and so young as well. I hope we do as well next week. We have beaten Rorters, Cowboys and Parramatta...the only team to beat Penrith.

Although I agree that Kiraz will be better suited to fullback in the long term. I think the ball playing ability from Avo at the back just adds another dimension to the team. He should have been given the jersey years ago.

I would consider Burton, Latrell and Foxy as the left edge attack for NSW in SOO.
Move Luai to the bench.
Burton's kicking and his kicks for Fox add another dimension to any attack.
Latrell also has a handy amount of x-factor.
This line up is also great cover for any backline injury.
Personally I hope that NSW doesn't pick them, but a package deal makes the most sense.

In particular we can show Duffty the door with 3 good young contenders for fullback. I would have punted Duffty after 5 rounds. Similarly Meaney never got a chance we messed around with DWZ and Hoppa who were just too slow. Speed isn't an optional extra at fullback, it is essential in attack and defence. For now Kiraz or Tola can get a shot when Averillo is injured or plays a bad game. At fullback I need to see how Kiraz fields grubber kicks, how he positions himself and reads the play attack and defence. If he does a good job in those areas he can beat out the other contenders. So worth a shot at some stage but no rush, one year of NRL will improve his game.
