I think Kruse is done too.
Too many injuries have left their mark and for me that has resulted in a “softer” player less willing to muscle up in the tight situations.
id rather have kept Parsons.

Charlie Austin could be the answer to the striker we have been needing for some years now.

He has still been playing at a high level,
I think 50+ games with QPR and 30+ games with West Brom over last few seasons.

Fingers crossed. 

Adams strikes me as a player who may come back to bite us if another club picks him up.

He has shown some ability to run at players and we have struggled against that for many years.

I am hoping our local youth policy is not over so much as it being modified to 'and some local youth players' rather than a lot of local youth players. Not a bad thing in my eyes for balance and it should mean the ones we keep develop better with more experienced, quality heads around to guide them.

Picked up by Victory, and you can't imagine he'll get much game time. Moon seems to have been burnt by a season with a squad filled with youth, so is swinging the pendulum back to a more experienced squad. 
While it's a shame to lose these younger players, we won't ever really know what conversations have happened. Perhaps Moon just said they won't play as much of a part next season and they were keen to try for more playing time elsewhere? Good to have some decent young prospects signed up though in Hore and Milnaric, and hopefully we lock Trewin down. I expect we won't be seeing much of Dehmie next season with Austin and Ivanovic as back up. 
Hopefully we can also get rid of Lescano and Steinnman as I don't like our chances with a season with two wasted visa spots. 

In my head both Lescano and Steinmann were gone already. Crap if that was just wishful thinking...

We have Aston Villa in the Queensland Cup at Toensville on the 20th. How are we playing Heidleberg in Victoria on the 21st?

Don't think dates for the Australia Cup game have been set. Remember reading something like games being played between 21st and 4th or something like that. 

If visa players aren’t firing they’ve obviously  got to go.

I think getting a visa player who has been playing regularly is far less risk. That’s why Austin should work out. 

if they haven’t been playing regularly it’s a risk, and we’ve been burnt there too often.

Tough call if the dates are locked in. One squad will have to head north (with Lescano and Steinmann) and the real team play the Australia Cup game.

So which rumours have we heard re: player arrivals so far?

Okay then, so we've actually got a couple of training games in the lead up to the Australia Cup game. That's some good news for a change.

I think kruse is is a bit stronger than a rumour at the moment seeing as he is apparently in brisbane and holding talks with the roar. the other two i have heard loose rumours about i think Arzani has a couple of clubs interested including us but i am not sure borello is anything more than a rumour.

in my opinion only borello is worth it. Kruse's body is done, and arzani has played like 10 senior games in his life good tallent but clearly his attitude had ruined things for him. 

Is there anywhere that the list of current players for the ROAR can be seen.  Even the ROAR website has players listed that have already moved on.

Thanks,  so according to Wiki we have 12 plus 3 academy = 15 players currently registered including Steinmann but not Lescano. A lot of work to do.  Mind you I don't think Hore's name was there. 

That list is as at 27 June,  I think Hore signed after that date. 

Hore’s there and was at the club last season. He did sign a contract extension recently though.

Wiki is up to date and I know it is because I’m one of the people that updates Aussie football pages.

Danzaki rumoured to be returning.

would be 10000000 times better than Kruse. i like that signing a whole lot, please be true. 

this would round out the squad quite well. if we go 5 at the back we have

Which easily converts to a 2 up front with danzaki playing behind them centrally allowing the wingbacks to get forward it also can convert to 4 at the back by removing one of the central defenders and adding hore/ivanovic/akbari/daley to the starting line up. very flexible, a little weak in the wider areas at the back  but if we can get rid of lescano and steinman it should allow us to target another defender (one of them has to be out already otherwise we have too many foreigners, hopefully both are gone)

I am liking this squad more and more.

We have lost a couple of players that could just as easily have stayed in place of others but for the most part we are replacing potential with quality where we need it most.

Chapman in DM should tighten up the back a bit so the team is rounding out nicely. I wonder if Moon is going to give Steinmann more of a go because we have not seen the best of him I am sure.

I am hoping Charlie and Danzai will play some part in these two local Queensland Challenge Cup games - maybe it is too soon to hope for that.

Getting quite excited to see us play again I must say.

Yeah that's a great signing. I would think that pretty much finishes the squad, though I would like another wide defender. Hingert and zabala are serviceable but definitely a weak spot for us, brown is good if injury free but he was out a lot last season and JBS is a depth player at best. 

We need to offload stienmann to free up cash, its a shame he does not fit our system as he was great at Wellington, just never found his feet here 

Riku should be fit as he is coming from in season. his announcement said he should be involved in the Thursday game. Charlie will probably be left for the cup game
