The random draw process was the best change in this years Aus cup and also playing some games on the weekends. Oakleigh at home would of been ideal, so at least one NPL club was guaranteed in the final, but Brisbane Roar is an exciting opponent with quality everywhere, and to see Charlie Austin playing at Edensor, with what i hope a healthy large crowd.

+xWhy is oakleigh vs bulls on Wednesday instead of Saturday? I don’t get it From Mono's vivid descriptions, maybe half the Oakleigh supporters have weekend detention and it was considered unfair to deprive one taxi of a fare in these tough financial times. On a more serious note, it has been a feature of the Australia Cup this year to mix midweek and weekend games. Do Oakleigh or Macarthur have a game on the weekend already? Or is their ground already booked? A semi final deserves the best chance for people to come to it though.
When I wear their colours, I am the club.

Oakleigh has a semi final this Saturday and a possible GF next Sunday mate ... no surprise they will play mid week.. Only surprise is which retired Greek International they will bring in for this one off match? :) Henry Hore loves scoring against Choakleigh.... just saying :P

+x+x+x+xExpect a few red cards in this one mate...... few loose units over there in Jack Edwards brothel. Hope it goes to extra time though so Port can shit all over them on Saturday. don't think they gonna give shit mate - that obviously goes down as their best win eva, like a Prem or GF win. Great to see - far out getting Italiano on a plane today I thought wtf but if paid off needing a keeper with experience. Great 1st half. What a dig in by them the last 15. Shame McBreen pulled them out against SU but gaurantees 1 NPL side in the finale so come on SUnited !!! These are the success stories of the Cup period, part timers doing ok. So an NPL team with a ring in keeper (heard there was nothing wrong with Feely BTW but they brought in Italiano as cover anyway), who has lost to Hume City and St Albans in the past few weeks and finished the season 11 points off the pace .....beat a so called professional franchise? AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH --- But we cant have a second division because semi pro players arent good enough to compete eh?KAMAN CROATZIA!!!!!!!!!!! That isn't a reason bandied about as to why there isn't a second division It IS.... According to the doubters, an Aleague franchise dropping to a semi professional league will kill the franchise and there is not enough talent around to expand the Aleague, let alone create a NSD... Their words NOT mine :)

Having watched the game live and then watched the replay, is it just me or are Sydney FC SOFT?
No intensity, what so ever, what kind of team has Corica concocted?
Devoid of imagination in how to breakdown a low block, while in the first half failed to deal with high a pressing Oakleigh.
I thought the game against Bentleigh was bad enough, but this was really poor.
On the other hand Oakleigh lead by a wiley and experienced Coach in Chris Taylor, showed how a team with less "quality" but a strong dressing room responds to playing against a team with more resources.

I'm heading OS Monday for a couple of weeks and regions not far of the Clubs origins might I add, I'll be checking up how I can see the game (luckily I have my 22yr old tech savvy son with me)....... Edensor is going to be packed despite the lack of BR support.

Halftime. Bulls are playing well - some really good football. Went down a goal then came back strongly. Oakleigh just don't seem to understand that the player is not part of the ball, and that reckless is not a quality to strive for. They have gone through a few Bulls players already and somehow escaped a yellow with one of the first tackles in the game when they got to the ball first but took their body right through the opponent's legs in what could have easily been another broken ankle challenge. Oakleigh, when they play football, are still skilful and capable - but their focus on making body contact is limiting them now with the ref pulling them up and issuing cards. Bulls, under Yorke, are showing some pretty entertaining football and Davila and Arzani are both doing great work with the ball at their feet under intense physical pressure. Both very smart footballers in close contact. Toure has also made his mark setting up the second goal with pace and skill. Well worth watching.
When I wear their colours, I am the club.
