So where was the card for Davilla in the opening minute.
Not a pen imo
Plus thecard for Baccus for repeated infringements

I missed the first 5 minutes or so - so I am happy to admit I may have missed something to even the ledger a bit.

No question the pen was played for and got. No question it was a cruel twist. Davila made sure he stuck his leg across the defender (who had been foolishly trying to grapple and tug without getting caught) and the defender was caught desperately trying to get anything on Davila to slow him down. Just can't defend from behind in the box. Always going to be a pen for me in any game.

Repeated infringements were a fairly common occurrence in the game - whether by an individual or on an individual.

The challenges I have a problem with are the ones that aim to injure. And I cite Roberts in the last minutes with that deliberate, frustrated leg stomp as a fine example.

Credit to SU58 for their game - nothing will take the pain but the players were a huge credit to themselves and their league, their supporters were fantastic (except for throwing stuff and the mandatory 'youth with finger extended' that proves they're orfentic). I really enjoyed the match and especially the 90 minutes of continuous battle. The effort of always having a player coming to help in every challenge shows commitment and dedication not lost on those who appreciate the work done by good teams off the ball.

Got to say I loved the way Macarthur ran down the clock by attacking and recycling in the front half of the pitch. I wish the teams I supported did more of that and less of the back passing that leads to dangerous turnovers.

Congratulations Bulls fans on here. Congratulations and commiserations SU58. Both teams made it a worthy final.

When I wear their colours, I am the club.

Crowd is fantastic there is 'real' atmosphere something the A L lacks even the Socceroos

there is 'real passion credit to SU58 fans and the Croatian/Australian community - wish the FA would actually do something to try capture that passion at the top levels of football in Australia

He wasn’t the only one, there were quite a few. Not only that, there was Ustase imagery in the crowd as well as “Za Dom Spremni” chants seemingly done by a large group, probably well over 100 people

Negative headlines tomorrow I fear. Lots of other news on so hopefully it'll get smothered. Incredibly disappointing and maybe a stoush or flare in Parramatta will add to the story.

The clowns do not get how much they have held their team back by their pre planned "we hate the A league " nonsense,  and that is what it was, make no mistake.

Any chance of these teams gaining access to the top league have sadly diminished.

Arzani is better than Leckie even in this less fit state.

Arzani had some terrible shots at goal and couldn’t run out 90 minutes the way Leckie can - but he penetrated defenders plenty of times with dribbling and passing that Leckie hardly ever does - if ever

got to keep some perspective 16k were there to see and cheer SU58 tonight NOT MacArthur f.c

i agree we cannot tolerate anti social behavior but there certainly 'is' credence into finding a away to bring old soccer and new football together....i wouldn't be suprised if this was the most 'watched' ffa/Australia cup match ever

football 'needs' fans to survive, i dont agree with some of the behavior esp the Nazi salute i mean wtf was that guy thinking but there 'certainly' is a reason to bridge the two worlds the game is 'stronger' for it but the rules need to be 'fairly' strict

almost 16.5k bro

i'd say 16k were SU58 fans the other 400 or so bulls

regardless i 'disagree' with you they are allow to support he club and its heritage so i dont know what you are on about we can see clearly the level of support we get when you 'create' plastic clubs that have no connection to its community.

i dont make excuses for the behavior of what is a 'small' number of supporters - as i said Welcome to country needs to fuck off but you got to 'respect it' to some extent

certainly shouldn't be singing the cro anthem during the Australian one

regardless Bulls wont play in-front of another crowd like that all season bar maybe against MVFC, that in itself is more of an issue then a few idiots

not the result the FA wanted from this game but it is clear the AL has no connection to fans in most cases and this is evidence of that

the arm chair critics complaining about the behavior aren't 'attending' matches in the end of the day match day fans and regular viewers are the life blood of a competition and the AL needs a hell of a lot more of them - SU58 has been around a long time The bulls wont survive half that long if the AL doesnt change its structure

I agree but how bloody stupid are these supporters? Do they want to be accepted and welcomed by mainstream Australian football or are they happy (and they do seem to be) to give a big fuck you to everyone.

Intolerance and disrespectful  behaviour towards other cultures. The very things I loved about our game- the multiculturalism, the inclusion are all undone by people who they themselves claimed victim by ‘new football’.. Got to feel for those who want to just move forward in the game. I think a huge backlash is coming.
