I wish I had no fucking interest in it at all. And if The Lemons weren’t playing I could. But the fact that they’re there means I want them to lose so badly I’ve got an investment in it… barracking for a team I actually hate more than them.

Penrith, although annoying with their "stacks-on" celebrations, are just a damn well-drilled and coached team. I find it hard to hate them so I will be barracking for them to win again.

Really bad concussion for the Mami Dolhpins quarterback in the NFL.

Came back on after concussion in the 2nd half last week and lead his team to a remarkable comeback victory.

Great talent, terrible injury, will be a shame if it is career ending.

Kind of a whiplash injury falling on his back and his head hit the ground.

The story reads badly. There could be big repercussions as a result. The Dolphins and the NFL have left themselves in a vulnerable position.
This is where the NRL needs to be careful about players playing the next week after concussion. It will only need to go wrong once.

The NRL have got their arses covered pretty well because they are keeping up with worlds best practise according to current knowledge.

You cant get sued by a willing participent for something you’re unaware of.

Where The NFL was libel was because they had information that made them well aware of the concussion risk and took no action.

As long as The NRL does best practice with all current info they’re covered.

Is it best practice? The NRL does not have the most stringent protocols in sport
Does the NRL provide a safe workplace? Multiple HIA's in most games must cast doubt.
The test is eliminating the hazards/dangerous situations causing the concussions. This is not happening, the problem persists.
Willing participation only extends to participating within the laws of the game.

The NRLol is actually failing in their duty of care. As we are all aware, Rugby League is a collision sport and injuries will occur if players don't use the right techniques when tackling. These techniques are taught from a young age yet the governing body think it's a good idea to ban tackling until Under 14's or whatever... by then it's way too late because the juniors will have no idea on the safest method and are up against much bigger bodies.

The players should wear masks to protect themselves and the NRLol community…

For comparable sports, yes.

I seen this discussed I think it was on NRL360; or similar, recently. It was pointed out The NRL is well aware of the liability it faces and so makes sure it’s practices are at WBS of comparable sports, it’s constantly reviewing which is why the game is likely to have limited contact sessions in training as the next step.

There are other sports with stricter protocols, and you’re probably thinking of boxing and other combat sports where the stand down is months, not weeks.

But in those sports you’ve likely received your concussion from being repeatedly punched in the head and upon your return can expect to be repeatedly punched in the head.

I think where we differ is you are talking about protocols after the event whereas I'm talking about before the event. 
The NRL is no different to any other employer in having the obligation to provide a safe workplace. What happens after the event by way of rehabilitation is not a contributor to a safe workplace.
 The things to look at among others are is this an isolated incident and how likely is it to occur again. The remedial steps start with remove the hazard down to modifying the process. The requirements are quite extensive. None of this is addressed by after incident protocols.
It should be noted that a big contributor to CTE is sub-concussive impacts. These include the brain bouncing around in the skull from a big impact, head knock, head hitting the ground or whiplash. This is why military personnel suffer due to exploding ordnance. 

I want to know why Mitch Moses didn't play for the Parra girls team.

Their first grade team looked incredibly relaxed coming out of the tunnel before the game and you just knew they were switched on for a huge game.

Congrats. I'm jealous of their success.
