For any who missed it. Seems some Vic fans have jumped the fence and just stormed the pitch and Glover and ref were in the box. Way too quickly they've been surrounded and a metal bucket type object just gets shoved or rammed into the side of Glover's head. The ref ends up covered in some white powder material whatever that was and then the bench has rushed on to try and help.

I believe the bucket and white sand-like material within it were for putting the flares into/dispose of.

Nah, his comment was disgraceful. This has the potential to kill football as a viable professional game in Australia. A player was taken to hospital. A referree was assaulted. Anyone who attempts to excuse the actions of these thugs is a fucking imbecile.

The thing is there are plenty of fans who do care. The next step should be turning up in droves in defiance of these idiots. This is what I hate.
