So the u23 Asian cup is tentatively scheduled for same time as the Asian cup in January 2024 and there is no FIFA international window at that time. Surely they can’t have both tournaments clashing? We will need a full strength u/23 squad to make it to the olympics - I hope our players can’t get released for both tournaments

This might comprise the a-league but this is very important that the Olyroos qualify so anything to help them the better.

And apparently both Asian cups are going to be played in Qatar at the same time.

https://balidiscovery.com/bali-threatens-to-derail-u-20-world-cup/The tweet 'Indonesia will not host' is a pretty big worded statement. On a provisional side, would Australia be the next best ranked AFC team? I'd tend to yes according to what occurred in the tournament. Anyway FIFA would be hard pressed to find a replacement host for something 7 weeks away. If it does happen then it'll be delayed and played elsewhere.

Can’t we just take over as last-minute host and qualify as the host? We’re amazingly set up for sporting events as a country.

I’ve been trying to look for a stream for this everywhere, but radio silence from all the Football Australia social media accounts.
They promised that they would share a link ‘closer to the match’ :(

That is super impressive. was it a full strength seri b side?
I remember early in the year saying an a league u23 would not be relegated in the juliper league. Now im thinking as exciting as that is, it underestimated them. I remember when we would be happy for one u23 player to be juliper league level

#OFFICIAL | 🚨 PERU WITHDRAWN AS HOST OF FIFA U17 WORLD CUP 2023
FIFA has announced it has withdrawn 🇵🇪 Peru's right to host the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2023™ following extensive discussions between FIFA and the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF).
The tournament is still scheduled to take place from November 10 to December 2, 2023, but the Office of the FIFA Council will now appoint a new host in due course.
The move was made given the inability of the host country to fulfil its commitments to completing the infrastructure required to stage the tournament.

Hopefully we can get a full squad as we would need it to qualify.
