Like they say you can only deal with whats in front of you. Importantly he has delivered during his tenure - pity Gerrard left whilst he had Rangers momentum for it would have been more interesting for me. Yes I find the SPL not much to get into as well, sure the pressure/spot light is there on the 2 Clubs the rest of them is just plain making up the numbers. Anyway good luck to him, he's building up his rep and resume for the next step up gig. Leeds is calling so they say, will be interesting whats to become.

+x+xNot to diminish Ange's achievements but in a 2 team league just statistically you're going to win half the trophies on offer. I don't know how people follow the SFL or La Liga for that matter. Every game is virtually a fait accompli. Really looking forward to him moving onto the EPL when that inevitably happens. I would say that would put even MORE pressure on a manager mate.... Im not saying SPL is a two horse race but I would think the manager of either Celtic or Rangers has got to be the most stressful, tenuous position in Scottish football.... For sure. There's a very big expectations on any coach at those 2 clubs (worse for Real and Barca). Would say any coach in the top 6 of the EPL would be under the pump a bit too though.

Even the mid table ones there is no rest for the gaffas, results and table standing count a hell of a lot in that league being no1, money money money towards the following season. Same goes for the others but all depends on the Clubs depth in each league as mentioned LaLiga/SPL are 2 horse races. Bundas its Bayern daylight 2nd. Who else win Lique1 - PSG. https://www.globalfootballrankings.com/

Crystal balling Ange’s next move, maybe it’s not necessarily going to be to the EPL? This is someone who’s coached in Greece, Australia and Japan, so I’m sure he’d be open to the continent and potentially just as excited at a move to the Bundesliga or Serie A. Imagine the job he could do at a fallen giant in one of those leagues - Bremen perhaps, with a chance to get them back to the CL and actually win some games? Or maybe to the biggest team in a smaller league, ie similar to Celtic but on a bigger scale - Ajax or PSV for instance?
It seems the Scottish fans only think of the big league down south, but I’m sure Ange would be open to other offers than an 8th - 15th placed EPL club just because it’s in England. (Looking at where Gerrard and Rodgers moved to, I think this is realistically where he’d land no matter how much he won in the EPL).

I think he needs to prove himself at Celtic first... Back to back Championship and get out of of groups stage in UCL, or better. He is still a relatively young coach and 2-3 succesful seasons at Celtic would mean a jump to a decent (top 6) club in EPL I reckon.

I mentioned earlier on that he staying at the Hoops and getting deeper in the CL will gain more notice for the future no doubt about that. That’s the big arena for Club football. He’ll get back to back titles no doubt it’s about can he and the squad step up next level.

The ARIS manager in Greece just got the bullet. That's 4 in 2 seasons. The whole Greek league is under a chaotic pump.

Europa is the level more suited now that they are playing better football despite lack of competition pushing them higher for thats what they need at Club level.

Proud to know that Brisbane Roar made Ange. The only ones to give him the right opportunity and resources whilst all other clubs ignored him.

If he’s on Chelsea’s shortlist, he’s likely to be also on the short list for Spurs or a couple of the lower clubs. Leeds or Everton will stay up and both only have ‘temporary’ managers. If Kompany gets the Chelsea job, Burnley could be an option. Personally, I’d love to see him at Leeds, who have a great Australian connection over the years. Though, having Kewell as his assistant would be a non-starter.

Perhaps he’ll stay to build a dynasty … or perhaps he’ll need to go home to Melbourne “for family reasons”. You just never know with Ange, eh?

Ange is a highly principled person who could not accept the position he found himself in so he did, what to him was the only thing he could do to stay true to his beliefs and left.

Although there may have been earlier rumblings, he caught the FA by surprise. He was engaged until the end of the WC as far as I am aware. All that's beside the point anyway. What due and proper principles does anyone have, let alone a key person, with leaving only weeks before expected, whether it be football, employment or anything else for that matter. Ange was going to stick around Roar as well and create a dynasty so he said. Weeks later, GONE.
