Gustavsson this afternoon in the press conference, and I'm paraphrasing, 'now is not the time to make changes and give players a run for the sake of giving them a run'. The sooner this spud is gone the better.

The sooner this spud is gone the better. And I thought Arnold was pushing it in Qatar. Injuries and errors forced change with Degenek and Baccus doing well. BVM in Russia was horrid.

Didn't BVM keep the same team for all 3 games, and make the exact same subs? (I think there was a slight variation to actually include Cahill in the third game)

I may be wrong about that. I was in Russia for the matches.

Start or sub Luongo on vs Peru and he'd have the legs to stop the 2nd goal. Jedinak was exhausted when it happened.

Players in NT squads always say ‘it’s all about the team’ so why don’t they signal to coach when the player knows that they are too knackered to keep playing?! Probably because thecoach will stop starting them in next game?! Selfish.
Gorry was knackered before England scored 3rd goal?! Carpenter had poor game probably due to playing too much intense football within few days- Grant just watching from the bench all tournament!
Other teams have been using their 5 subs so Why hasn’t Tony?!! Total idiot in that regard

But very deep into a tournament, unlike in the group stage, you can’t just keep nearly all your starting 11 on the whole match game after game after game- without them making mistakes from exhaustion

I'd love to see Wheeler get some minutes tonight. She's the future after Gorry.

+x+xSame 11 except Vine for Raso. No, same 11, no changes. Right. Glanced and I read Hunt as Vine. FFS that's even worse then. Don't get zero rotation when we have fit and capable options.

I agree, a couple new players to freshen up the side would have been good. As long as one of them isn't van Egmond, who I bet will be the first or second sub anyway. If he thinks he needs van Egmond in there, then he really should be putting Chidiac on instead.

I'd like to see how Fowler's control could unleash Vine on the run while Chidiac's movement creates space.

Soft penalty. Swedish player changes direction, polkingholm accidentally taps the back of her foot as she runs. No grab, push or intention
