+x+x+xOwn goal isn't textbook Ange ball but we can claim it Yeah I feel pretty undeserved and greedy but that's football and it'll always be taken if presented. Felt Ange didn't seem to have many ideas but the deep sitting Liverpool and Ange ball just scream stalemate. 1. Why should everyone else get the luck 2. It's very easy to look bad playing against 9 where you are expected to break through but your opposition is literally drilled on playing with 9 and locking it all down 7 weeks, hasn't lost a match and Luton coming up. Go fkn get em ange Oh I agree I'm just warming the thread up for all the tall poppy cutters once Australia rises this coming Sunday :D Point 2 exactly. The idea that Spurs looked worse is more because Liverpool are a good team and even with 9 are good at a siege.

“PGMOL acknowledge significant human error during Tottenham Hotspur v Liverpool. The goal by Luiz Diaz was disallowed for offside by the on-field team of match officials. This was a clear and obvious factual error and should have resulted in the goal being awarded.
This is highly unacceptable. Awaiting information if their system was broken? They always use the very accurate software for offsides and get it right 99% of the time.
At the same time the anti VAR brigade can rejoice. This is how football is without VAR. Let's just pretend we don't have VAR at all here. It was a very close call where humans will call it either way live on the sideline and it's now the media and social media plastering everywhere lambasting the ball.
Remove VAR sure, but I don't think the media should be able to constantly moan about close calls and use footage for their story lines. It's about culture. The lower tiers seemingly get over close calls pretty quickly. Howlers need addressing according to circumstances but the close ones need to be accepted as part of the game.

I will add, on the subject of Premier League VAR + offside: * apparently the clubs voted against introducing the AI/Auto offside lines in use at the World Cup * The VAR in this game had just completed a game as VAR in Riyadh for Saudi League 48 hrs before this match, and flew straight to London from there... Funny hearing Klopp talking about 'crazy decisions' as a plural, (when there was really only one - this one - big one nonetheless). Jota's first yellow (in isolation) was kind of questionable, but Jota was fouling a lot in the second half, so the yellow could have been for persistent fouling rather than that specific incident.

The was given to Ange. Diaz’s rippa goal was BS as confirmed. 2 reds. Winning own goal. Not much about out playing us but for normal one touch football that led to Sons well taken goal. With 11 I can’t see them beat us struggled against 10 then worse 9. Onwards forwards lonnggggg way to go.

sucks I couldnt stay up to watch it... another masterclass from Ange... What other manager in the world gets Richarlison back in the squad playing a diff role but very effective. He is one of the best man managers around you have to think.
So many salty liverpool fans this morning... love it.

VAR is here because of match fixing. It's here forever. That bent German referee made sure of that.

He will not last in Ange's system, he's more of a traditional winger/striker with lots of running and bullocking but little grace and quality. He would be more suited to a low EPL team, or dare I say even the Championship. Look at all his goals for Brazil and Everton they were all tap ins.

Yes, Diaz's goal should have stood. 2 Reds were Liverpool's issues, first one was unlucky as he got ball & the rolled onto ankle, but that was a red, though unlucky. Jota, accidently tripped Spurs player when he was mounting an attack, would Liverpool expect a penalty if that in penalty area & against them, yeah, right decision. 2nd yellow, you already on a yellow, you don't dive in like that. Liverpool is a top side & expect them to challenge Man City & Arsenal for title, Spurs are still work in progress.

Cruel ending for Liverpool, so much drama in this game.
Starting with the offside by Liverpool which looked on, then we saw Spurs score minutes after that and Liverpool even with 10 men are dangerous scored before halftime.
The red cards were fair, the first one intentional or not Jones's foot was high and you are asking for trouble, the second one Jota got frustrated after the first yellow and lost he's cool for the 2nd red card.
It then become a backyard game of attack vs defence as Liverpool were camped inside the penalty box and Spurs struggled to create chances (which is not a surprise when you against a very defensive deep block) but the winner with the own goal came from was a different cross to the far post where previously Spurs were putting out swingers which didnt work so something they might look to evolve going forward.
Overall given Ange has had this team for only 2 months its quite remarkable to see the progress of this side in terms of implementing he's style of football under previously defensive minded coaches and considering they dont have the depth over the other big 5 teams too, Ange has made them mentally strong which I think is really important and bodes well into the future.
Get another creative player, winger and centre back and I think they can challenge.

You could make a solid argument that Ange is the biggest name in Oz football right now especially for global audiences that watch the premier league and even Euro football, meanwhile you also argue that Sam Kerr is equal if it more popular especially to local audiences.
Either way both are a great adverts for Oz football.

So proud of the Reds keeping it clean for 96 mins and gutted for the own goal... Reds will go far this season showd alot of backbone. Spurs under Ange are a revelation, its tough to breakdown a solid Liverpool defence and they threw everything at it.... Ange being 7 matches undefeated in the EPL and having beaten both Manure and Livepool.... no wonder they are up and about...

Clear goal disallowed and a second yellow card on Jota was justfied but NOT when the first one was Udogie tripping over his own legs and not even a foul let alone a yellow.... Keeping Spurs out until the dying minutes was a Klopp masterclass NOT an Ange one... IF Spurs recruit in Jan they will be a force to be reckoned with though, no bench was what kept the score respectable....

That game against Liverpool really showed Spurs were missing Lo Celso, Johnson & Bentancur badly.
They will need to go to the market in Jan to bring in another Center Back and a Number 9. Talks of Gleison Bremer for the CB and Santiago Giminez for the 9 have been spoken of. Going in for Jota from Al-Ittihad would be a great move to as I don't see enough from Soloman at this stage.

hahahaha Brilliant.... Can't wait to see what the Spurs fans come up with when he mentions "Acropolis Now" hahahahahahahaahahah I know the laughter and the plaudits will disappear as soon as a few results go south (pardon the pun) but this has gotta be the most amazing reception for an Australian in the EPL since Dukes and Harry. 7 matches in and they already have more than 1/4 of last years points in the bag.... Luton, Fulham, Palace, Villa, Everton, Forrest.... really no "troublesome" matches apart from Man City and Newcastle in December ....... looks like Ange will definitely still be in London for Christmas :) and possibly even top 2 ....... holy shitballs.

+xSpurs with only 3 signings? and losing their best player in the offseason have been completely transformed by Ange. Permanent signings are Maddison, Solomon, VDV, Vicario and Johnson. Porro and Kuluveski loans were made permanent. Also Udogie is having his first full season at Spurs after being loaned back to his old club last season. Plus signed teenagers Phillips, Veliz and Vuskovic. We know they are short of bench depth, but they were still pretty active. It just shows how impossible it is to fix everything in one window. +xFantastic game. I had insomnia and watched tree the whole thing live. Fun read: https://www.football365.com/news/sympathy-liverpool-huge-limitless-sporting-integrity-statement-absurdWith Ange Postecoglou – predictably enough in his now established role as the Premier League’s dad – also excellent on the limitations and false prospectus of VAR and its unachievable ideals of a flawless world, it may well have been a contender for the most ‘Spoke Well, I Thought’ post-match press conference of all time.

The pace and power in the front line is extraordinary.
