+x+x+x+x+x+xI love the Australia cup I really hope people can get around it this year Best comp we have in Australian football imo, a true representation of what the sport actually looks like in this country at club level. Have always thought the fa should be doing more to really push the cup as the premier club completion. Given the logistical difficulties of a truly national open pyramid, the cup format is probably the best way to do it Perfect world to me is that it just replaces the A-League Grand Final and we fuck the finals right off for the A-League (once NST is bedded in, and P/R is sorted, seasons aligned, etc, etc and everything that goes with that). Gotta align the seasons before that can happen though. V8 Supercars doesn't have a grand final.... no, they still use a season long points structure, as is the norm for championships worldwide (except for stupid NASCAR) Sorry I should have clarified, that the first step is to align the season before P and R can be implemented,and NST bedded in... yep...... Wow, So APIA v Marconi and Olympic v Sydney Croatia( more than likely) .. very tasty NST preludes coming up up there. The bar has been set at 6,400 attendance on a mid week cold night, surely Sydney football crowd will beat that easily considering there are no gay AFL Melbournians to spoil the party? Surely? Mate I’d love for a huge crowd unfortunately the clubs are not doing anything to promote themselves so I think we will be lucky to get 1.5 maybe 2k if they push it I’ll be happy with 2 and half for a mid week cup game . It’s upsetting and disappointing the clubs need to be doing more in the community. This is a good chance man. I reckon alot of eyes were on South v Preston in OUR circles... I hope the Italian derby is a HUGE one.

correct Glenardo. It should recieve alot more exposure and I suspect the FA only tweek something come R32 with the AL Clubs coming in unless I'm mistaken. Many of those supporters need to realise to support football in this country is get down to local Clubs once in a while, helps with crowd figures and the game.

Fun game. Lots of pyro by south but Preston were definately on best behavior. When two flares lobbed at their player their stewards all went over to tell nobody to react.
That last free kick by south was amazing. I had a perfect view of it.
The wait for a cevap was way too long.
Great night of football Pen was shoulder to shoulder brat, c'mon Im one eyed I know but even I wouldn't call for that if it went against us :) As for the Red... well it was a little harsh but Harry WAS through on goal with the next touch, had the last player in his dust, I would say DOCGO ... am biased though I admit. - How good was Harrys final free kick goal, lost my voice screaming for that one :) As for the fans behaviour the arseholes who threw the flare on the pitch were NOT South Melbourne supporters... I never miss a game and I have never seen them in the last 10 years... when they where being dragged out.. Heard rumours they were banned Melbourne Victory/Hellas Fan Club (tennis arsehole fascists) who somehow slipped through security... They were pointed out by our supporters immediately and the fantastic Preston security guys ejected them straight away... I have never felt safer at BTConnor (Im old enough to remember having to fight our way out of that place past riot police on horseback) and thouhg our two clubs did an excellent job working together.. Was a bit bizare with the Preston fans who brought a lazer into the stands and shined it in Maxies eyes when he was taking a corner (very Africa cup of nations) but kudos to the ref. who was also excellent, for pointing it out.. I walked into the ground at 7pm, the 2 guys that were in front of me were part of the MV pitch invasion of lakeside back in 2016 and part of Horda, then those MV/HFC lot just waltzed into the ground. The same idiots that attended the Preston v Oakleigh match last yr. Security knew they werent South fans but they purchased tickets in the South end so not much they could do, surely some of these guys are on banned lists or something? are they with us in the room now? No they are on a bus heading to Gosford for a pyro party :) :cool:
actually i think they are crying about 777 now so maybe they arnt hahahah glad they had enough flares left over from their little bridge artist display :P

Fun game. Lots of pyro by south but Preston were definately on best behavior. When two flares lobbed at their player their stewards all went over to tell nobody to react.
That last free kick by south was amazing. I had a perfect view of it.
The wait for a cevap was way too long.
Great night of football Pen was shoulder to shoulder brat, c'mon Im one eyed I know but even I wouldn't call for that if it went against us :) As for the Red... well it was a little harsh but Harry WAS through on goal with the next touch, had the last player in his dust, I would say DOCGO ... am biased though I admit. - How good was Harrys final free kick goal, lost my voice screaming for that one :) As for the fans behaviour the arseholes who threw the flare on the pitch were NOT South Melbourne supporters... I never miss a game and I have never seen them in the last 10 years... when they where being dragged out.. Heard rumours they were banned Melbourne Victory/Hellas Fan Club (tennis arsehole fascists) who somehow slipped through security... They were pointed out by our supporters immediately and the fantastic Preston security guys ejected them straight away... I have never felt safer at BTConnor (Im old enough to remember having to fight our way out of that place past riot police on horseback) and thouhg our two clubs did an excellent job working together.. Was a bit bizare with the Preston fans who brought a lazer into the stands and shined it in Maxies eyes when he was taking a corner (very Africa cup of nations) but kudos to the ref. who was also excellent, for pointing it out.. I walked into the ground at 7pm, the 2 guys that were in front of me were part of the MV pitch invasion of lakeside back in 2016 and part of Horda, then those MV/HFC lot just waltzed into the ground. The same idiots that attended the Preston v Oakleigh match last yr. Security knew they werent South fans but they purchased tickets in the South end so not much they could do, surely some of these guys are on banned lists or something? are they with us in the room now? No they are on a bus heading to Gosford for a pyro party :) LOL and I hope so lol
