+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+xGoing off the first few games this is the closest the gap has been in terms of quality between a league and NPL sides. usually NPL side is hanging on for dear life and counter attacking. Now they’re controlling games against professional opposition. Who by the way have been training for 5 weeks now and played at least 2 preseason games. yes it's only pre-season for the AL clubs, but would you suggest the quality of the AL sides are getting worse? Due to the lack of money and spend? Goes back to the argument, are the AL sides getting worse and the NPL sides getting stronger, or the AL sides just dont care enough about the competition.? Only someone with a simple grasp of logic would read too much into it. Otherwise in a month if 2 a-league teams annihilates an NPL side will we be saying 'the NPL is getting worse' As I said, when a-league clubs regularly get results against ACL clubs when they out of season it doesn't mean anything other than they're playing teams out of season Having said that, everyone likes seeing the NPL clubs do well, and they are playing better football You realise the football gods have smiled down on our wonderful state and, if things pan out like they could, it will be a South Melbourne vs Melbourne Victory GF? HAHAHAHAHAHAA that will (if it happens) be the biggest shitshow crowd wise in the history of soccer in Australia. HAHAHAHAHAAH To get there I hope Fiztroy beats Hume and we get to play each other... Was hoping to get the WA NPL side but I guess Hume is a chance... Hume is a BIG chance, they will be in the middle of finals footy, Srbija with nothing to lose ... Should be spicy... Hume always get the best cup draws! Rumour is South v Olympic fc will be played on Saturday the 24th. Incorrect rumour it won't be Saturday August 24th there is NPLW already scheduled at Lakeside Stadium that day til 5pm.

Just exposing the " chip on your shoulder ". Sutho, recall recently saying to me to move on what I bang on about, your singing the same tune here might I add. We all have our POV's right ?, or is that chips on the shoulder :) :) You both have a chip on your shoulder. Your refusal to acknowledge the top flight in your own country, tells me that. And then the plastic LFC fans.: :P:P:P coming from a plastic sfc fanboi tells us where your in the recycling viewpoint Not much I’m afraid. 😜😝 Shame considering the background you come from big man. I actually do support SFC. I buy the gear, have 2 season books and attend about 95% of home matches. You only cheer on from your couch, a team from a foreign country. Awww haha I know from the couch I’m way out in front that’s for sure in comparison 😀 only lol This is fun.

Closer to 5,000? Where were they hiding? You realise the grandstand has less than 3000 seats? And it was at best 3/4 full. So you're telling me double the amount of people in the stand were at the game? Hahaha. I think its 3,500 tee hee but I get your point.... hahaha I dont know man, I didnt count the bloody tickets.... who cares? There was a bunch of toffs in the corporate rooms/cocktail function thing and a whole bunch of people on the concourse.... meh whatever really.

I didnt take my kids on Tuesday so I just assumed all the kids didnt... all good. 4,200 is still a decent crowd I reckon.

Nice, so even without the biased draw, still getting at least one non-AL team in the semis

+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+xRound of 16 Saturday 24th August - Wednesday 28th August Match 1; Olympic Kingsway (WA) vs Adelaide United Match 2: NWS Spirit (NNSW) vs Melbourne Victory Match 3: Hume City (VIC) vs Melbourne Srbija (VIC) Match 4: South Melbourne (VIC) vs Brisbane Olympic (QLD) Match 5: Oakleigh Cannons (VIC) vs Heidelberg United (VIC) Match 6: Lions FC (QLD) vs Western Sydney Wanderers Match 7: Moreton City Excelsior (QLD) vs Perth Glory Match 8: Newcastle Jets vs Macarthur Bulls 5 Greek Clubs, 1 Serb, 1 Turkish, 1 Dutch. Only 6 franchises I thought they were all Australian clubs ? So much for one Australia 🇦🇺. Just feeding the "mainstream" public with their prejudice Sutho... you're welcome. SFC is plastic. :) You are entitled to your misguided opinion. No matter what you and others think, SFC are still the most successful team in Australian national league history. What "clan" is the tartan suit from? My old pal ,Eddie Thomson , would have been able to answer that, if he was still around. Cant believe he has been gone for 20 years... :( And ol Eddie would have thought a franchise is a pisstake :) lol 😝 you’d think but ol sutho will say otherwise he was right behind it you wait.

+x+xWhat a fail misleading calling him your ol pal in that case. Sums it up Thankyou :) Please elaborate . Sorry sutho been busy on leave. Quoting he was an ol mate. Got nothing to do with his brief stint in the us. I finished saying imo due to Eddie’s dna and roots he wouldn’t have approved of a franchise league per say starting up here. Any or most Ol salts of the past would look at it that way.

FWIW, I have plenty friends who played in the NSL, and very few of them are anti A league in the same way you and others are on here.
