A lot of silverware for South this year. Bit concerned about our NPLW program recently though, I know we've had a bit of a transition period with the coaches.

We won the nplw championship last season.

Think they were crippled with injuries this season.

I cant believe Harry Sawyer has left South Melbourne effective immediately to Macarthur Bulls on the verge of their Semi Final in Aus Cup due to the transfer rules, there goes any chance they had of making the final. 

something there needs to change regarding the transfer system.

There is something VERY SOUTH MELBOURNE about losing a striker before finals....

I agree though, Aus Cup will never be fair unless transfer rules for both APL and NPL clubs is the same...

I though he signed for 2 years but could be mistaken. Anyway, can't begrudge a player with ambition getting a move elsewhere... regardless we wouldn't have received a transfer fee for him, just happy for the kid to progress his career.

As for South v Victory in a final, I get the feeling that the FA would love nothing more than this result.... Pure pie in the sky speculation from my end, no basis to this whatsoever apart from wishful thinking, but if this NSD is to really be launched soon, what better way for JJ and his team than to announce it on the eve of a NSD club playing in the Australia Cup final?

Confused, when have south benefited in the past over an a-league side in regards to signing players? Going off what Dillon Maikousis said we didn't receive a cent lol. Whats the word on Marshall is he still on holiday and for how long?

Was hard to tell from the stream which of the 27 people there were Oakleigh fans and which Bulls fans? hahahahaha  turn out for a Semi final was appaling.

I think we'll have niceish crowd on Sunday, if the weather holds, should get 3-4k I reackon... it IS a semi against an Aleage club... Dont think any MacArthur fans will travel, two years ago they had 150 people at the Australia Cup Final..... and thats being generous.

Probably because of the junior games that are on. I think 5 would have been the sweet spot though.

Had 4k against Phoenix on a Tuesday night. If the weather holds i think 6k+ is possible.

Pre sales will be a good indicator. I remember 5k being pre sold for the sydney fc semi but the worst weather event of the year ruined it.

And the NPL teams always getting home ground advantage.

that's because the a-league clubs don't own there grounds, and dont want to fork out $$ for stadium fees, security, hospitality etc.  

suburban grounds are the way to go, 

Milos was special.

Very hard to compare with Sawyer, Lujic played in very attacking South teams where the full backs would overlap, the midfield would dominate and he would get good service. In some respects Sawyer is more impressive considering the way South play now and the defensive setup.

Ironically - from memory they got Milos from Northcote with no compensation to Northcote - so swings and roundabouts with the current situation 

Agreed, that SHOULD change once there is promotion and relegation between leagues......

Milos was indeed a special player ... cant EVER forget that hatttrick against Dandy City in the cup all those years ago :)
