Round 25 vs Wellington Phoenix on March 17, that match is scheduled to start at 4pm in the afternoon
Granted Wellington Phoenix fans will be able to see that game at a reasonable time on tv, but to bet against the weather in Perth to believe it will be 22 degrees at that time of the year, is the same as betting on "whether or not butter will melt in a frying pan"
It will be 45 degrees that day The sun on the eastern stand is terrible at N.I.B., right into your eyes. Yeah but with that new fantastic stand there now those people sitting right at the back (no one) will have shade! Win-win! :D

For keeping up with Latest pics. http://www.dsr.wa.gov.au/perth-rectangular-stadium-image-galleryWould prefer Yellow or Black seats(WA colours), or purple;), going to be weird with different sections having different coloured seats. Edited by aussie4ever4: 19/10/2012 11:43:33 PM

Yeah i bet they are just trying to keep the colours neutral like they did with AAMI Park. It seems like the southern Stand is progressing quite fast like it could be done in a month or two, do you think they would open it up before everything is completed or just wait till its all done?

The 9500 reduced capacity doesnt last the whole season, it will increase to 10,500 soon and be fully completed in March, so we will have a few games at the end of the season which will have full capacity. I was talking at the pub about the Glory being a night team, even though its an inconvenient time zone to the tv viewers in the eastern states. ie 10pm kickoffs on foxsports
They said, they should play during 2pm in the summer in Perth, let the eastern staters fry: HOME GROUND ADVANTAGE!
btw 7pm kickoffs are perfect in summer in Perth, even though the daytimes are ridiculously hot, the weather is perfect at night time in Perth in summer

From the club to GFU
(BRIAN) I recieved the following email from Membership manager Chris Edwards
Hi guys,
At the last home game at nib Stadium, the stadium reported excess capacity in the Shed while having a large number of wristbands still available and are concerned that some wristbands are being copied or extras are being purchased by patrons. Since the Shed has a limited capacity, the stadium has decided that they will provide us with your wristbands on event day at the earliest.
This means that the wristbands will have to be picked up from me at the stadium when the gates open on match day.
Further to this, it has been decided by the executive that following what happened during the march to the train station on Thursday 27 December 2012, the GFU will NOT be receiving wristbands for this game. This decision is final.
Thanks
Chris

Its amazing how much Perth Oval (nib stadium) has changed-> It looked like a place for a bush league originally in 1996 and 2013-2014 it will look like this->

I've been meaning to post it on here to show you guys, because I thought that you'd like it. Anyway, gave it a wash in the dryer and it's been hanging up on the wall of my old room, ever since.
