Think Woodcock may stay if Jamieson goes. Hearing rumours that Djulbic is off as well. Certainy wouldn't blame him if the whole defence is gutted.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Vuka, Jamo and Dino all at WSW next season.

So, Glory losing at least half their squad (and maybe up to 15 players by the time the dust settles)

That will take an enormous amount of time to replace and then get the squad playing the way Lowe wants them.

I just can't see that happening, even 5 months away from the start of the next season.

The loss of players is just too much to keep the team playing well into the start of next season.

You could maybe cope with a 30-40% squad turn-over, but up around 50% (and the whole defence) and over gets into areas where the team will suffer immensely next season.

WSW managed to create a whole side in only a few months and have a very successful first season. The benefit of a mass exodus is you can really sign to the style you want to play.

I guess, but WSW effectively had a blank cheque book, 6 visa players, a motivated coach and owner (the FFA).

Glory have cap problems, 5 visa players, a so-so coach and an owner with other motivations.

I guess Lowe will be able to sign to the style of play he wants.

Just not sure he will be able to replace the overall quality ripped from Glory.

Kilkenny is more a CM/CAM

I think we should try for Milan Susak. Can play anywhere across the back 4, would be cheap and played in the fantastic Brisbane squad. Would happily give Matthew Fletcher a trial too. Hull city had him on the bench in the premier league 18 months ago...

Also... Ryan Williams is off contract =p~

That is exactly right but you got to know who to sighn we will have the cash now that we have lost our most expensive players so a good manager would be happy with that but have we got that good manager i dont think so i hope im wrong he is promising a better season this time around so we will have to wait and see. GO GLORYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

I trust Eastern Glory's replacement picks. He backed De Silva for so long, you'd have to trust his gut for good players.

Maybe he should be head of Glory's recruitment / scout

Yeah looking at EGs list restored hope. But unfortunately McDonlad and Keogh are probably going to take the marquee spots. Which is a shame. I assume Kilkenny and Brad Jones would probably want marquee status as well if they were even a chance of coming?

I'd love to see Mcdonald and Keogh leading the line, but then I think we won't have cap space to build a midfield to service them. I like Marinkovich but he's a bit slow. Zad...he's no Griff. Hopefully we can get a VISA player to cover DM and maybe fit a player like Kilkenny under the cap?

If we get Ryan Edwards and Ryan Williams, That's a massive base that we can build off.

I would get some satisfaction out of Ryan Edwards coming back and doing well.

Not sure how he'd fit in the team. And our team would be unbalanced with him in it. But it is more likely that Ruka will be signed than McDonald. Ruka and Keogh leading the line? And potentially under the cap? Could leave room for an Australian marquee midfielder.

Ruka has been disappointing. But if he had a full preseason and improved...still has a bit of pace. Could work with Keogh holding up play and feeding him, similar to how he did with Maclarren early in the season.

Ryan Edwards has said that he is not coming back to Perth.

Hopefully he ends up at a decent League One club and gets plenty of game time rather than fade into obscurity in some shitty SE Asian league like Malaysia or Thailand.

Which is why he will stay. Only on about $250k which is probably what we are paying Zadkovich.

Probably deserves a thread of its own ...

Hopefully he can perform for longer on his wedding night than he did in his first league game for the Glory.
