Dino might be coming in off the bench with Grant/Lowry starting and Lowry pushing out to LB if Dino come on. Having said that, the subs should be kept for the MF and forwards. Using them for the backs is not maximising their use for tiring MF and forwards.

Mammoth. Would Risdon have to play LB with Williams playing RB? I guess Williams can ply up the park too, so there's that added flexibility. Which leads me to........... ---------------------------Covic---------------------------- R Williams--------Grant---------Lowry--------Risdon ----------------Vadocz----------Sandor------------------ Castro---------------Marinkovic-----------------Harold ---------------------------Keogh---------------------------- OR, late in the game with subs: ---------------------------Covic---------------------------- R Williams--------Grant---------Lowry--------Risdon ----------------Vadocz----------Sandor------------------ Taggart---------------Castro--------------------Reiners ---------------------------Keogh---------------------------- Scary stuff that speed off the wings late in a game.

I'm excited for next year already. I don't think I've ever said that about glory, especially this far out from the season.
I'm loving the momentum we are building and thinking we could be very dangerous next year with a few off season signings.
Anyone else think we can crack 15k for Saturday? First time in what 4 years if we do.

Against the Mariners, no. (then again, maybe with Garcia, the good one, not the bad one). If it was against Victory or the Roar, maybe. If they stay on message then the game against City might get close.

If they stay on message then the game against City might get close. If it was a big game like victory i would be predicting 17k. But we got well over 10k with the jets of all teams on a public holiday which was great. Weather should be brilliant. I'm hoping for a huge crowd. I've finally convinced 5 mates to come to a game. All i know is in heading to the Brisbane very early for a couch and pre game beers.

I reckon we will playing two up front next season: 1-4-4-2 or 1-4-1-3-2 True, so maybe the second formation with a tweak: ---------------------------Covic---------------------------- R Williams--------Grant---------Lowry--------Risdon --------------------------------Vadocz---------------------- Castro------------------Sandor------------------Harold ---------------Taggart------------Keogh------------------ Would mean Marinkovic would miss out or swap in for Sandor but that would mean Glory would then have an import on the bench, again not smart use of an import spot and $, but Marinkovic is not a winger. Need some speed out wide even with 2 up front. Edited by hotrod: 11/3/2016 03:17:16 PM

Do we really need nebo?i know over the last few rounds he has improved. But i don't think he warrants a starting spot or possibly even a contract.
Especially if he is going to start having hamstring problems.

Especially if he is going to start having hamstring problems. IIRC, he has another season to run on his contract, hence why he's a bit of a conundrum.

I did a quick lougle to see if he had a remaining year on his contract but couldn't see anything. I'm pretty sure you are right. Maybe specialist sub for end of game free kicks lol.

Either way i still think he's a waste of a starting spot now. When we signed him and up until now he was a decent starting player.

I had not truly appreciated that until watching last week at the game. He drifts off his marker and wanders out into about 25m of space on the opposite side of the pitch, sometimes taking 2 players with him wondering where the fuck he's going.

I can see Kenny going with the same system but with Taggart ahead of Harold. Excited for next season. Looking forward to seeing what Kenny will do in the offseason. Hopefully Reiners gets decent time too, looking forward to seeing him grow at the club. The club should be able to hype the season well with the current squad and potential new signings.

I dont think the Glory will get 15k for a long time. Look at it this way. THe glory now has just over 7000 members. Are you trying to tell me that the Glory would get 100 percent of its membership again in walkins? I would find that very hard to believe (and I doubt it has happened for any Football club anywhere). I think the Club would be very happy of getting 12K to most games. Maybe slightly under for some of the teams (Im not sure Newcastle or CCM would put a 12K crowd).
People are going to come to watch Diego. I love watching his play style .. his ducking and weaving, his cutbacks and so on. Players like him draw in the football watcher.
Another thing Ive found recently is that I havnt heard about Tony Sage for some time. I dont mind that at all. For a while there SBS was running a piece once a month on him being angry and saying things. All that should now be left to Peter Filopolous and so far he has been doing a cracking job.
