I'm feeling this weird sense of competition with you scotty so I spent an hour yesterday that I didn't have playing it :lol:

Just entered the Forest Temple.

I'm about halfway through the Ice Cavern nearly at the room were I get the Iron boots. You'll catch up when I get to the water temple. I've promised myself no walk throughs so the water temple will slow me down.

Oh also I was wondering what the quickest time someone has completed the game in, and then watched a 19minute video on youtube of some dude completely finishing the game from start to finish in 18 minutes and 7 seconds. Absolutely nuts - he kills Ganon with a Deku Stick! So many glitches :lol:

I'm on no walkthroughs aswell. Apart from forgetting Saria's Song, and forgetting to learn Epona's song before I was an adult, I haven't had any major hiccups yet.

I've also decided to take my no-shield policy into adult-hood. So I have no Deku shield at all, and I accidentally found a Hylian Shield in a chest but I'm refusing to equip it.

The only thing I've completely forgotten is how to start the biggoron sword side quest. Something tells me some shady looking dude in the valley of thieving chicks gives me a broken one to take to the Goron a death mountain .

I think you buy it from the big goron who lives in the Goron Cave (near where that massive dude rolled around as a kid), break it, then take it to the top of the mountain (where the fairy is, kinda?) and go from there. At least that is what I roughly remember. I think the race against the clock was from the mushroom you get in the lost woods (or is it at the lake? can't remember).

That's the giants knife. You can repair it as much as you want but it will break all the time.

Memory is flooding back now you mention the time limit. Biggoron needs eye drops before he fixes the broken sword so you have race all over Hyrule collecting ingredients for eye drops.

A. Still can't remember who gives me the broken sword
B. The first step of getting the eye drops involves the chicken lady

Ha memory flooding back. Chicken lady gives you a blue chicken that belonged to her lost brother who for some reason is in the lost woods. He then gives you the mushroom which I think you take to the hugs potion shop in the chicken ladys village.

Can remember you clocking it as about a 13-14 year old? Completely walk thorough free. From memory the boss witches in the sprit temple fucked you up.

Nup. Nothing to do with the giants knife. Im sure that some guy some where gives you a broken biggoron sword.

I tried talking to the big goron on the mountain after the fire temple and he just gives a "we da best" speech about Gorons making swords.

Has anyone in the history of the game actually used that warp thing (is it Faroe's Wind?)? I don't think I've EVER used it, hey.

Can't remember if i need that solely to get the song that changes day to night, or if I need it to get into the Shadow Temple. I know I need it for that part of the graveyard, just can't remember the end result :lol:
