Because I'm cool I'm installing FM10 atm. Because I hate steam, I'm installing it off the disk.

So will we need the disk for FM10?

Can anyone tell me if they have done Ryan Giggs any justice? I know he is old and not may of the seniors have great attributes unless they are goals keppers but his form since the last game warrants some good attributes

When you install it gives you two options:
a- install using steam and you wont need the disk
b- off the disk and you will need the disk every time you play it

Yeah, I haven't really had much of a chance to look. I think perhaps Fabregas has been sold a bit short.

Balotelli and Giovinco look pretty good.

Currently I'm raiding portugal, I've done a deal for Veloso, and I'm negotiating for Oscar Cardozo and Angel Di Maria who will rock my socks if I can sign both of them. Cardozo is amazingly good in FM.

Yeah he is I have never really given him a go though. Is Veloso as good as in 09?

Well..it's early days yet, but he looks pretty similar at the moment to waht he was when he started in 09. I've got him for 6.25m, Cardozo for 4.3 and Di Maria for 4.2.

Telling Voronin and Dossena where to go is value for money. :P

I installed the demo last night but it wont p;lay because of a directx error so i tdownloaded the new version of directx but because my laptop isnt connected to the internet yet I had to download it on to a portable hard drive and transfer it but it started to install but then it conked it because of connection problems so short of connecting to the net is there a way to fix my problem that you knowledgable people know of?

I've given up fiddling with the new tactical system, too hard to see what effect your changes have in the actual game. Reverted to the "Classic Tactics" and slowly getting on top of things. Gameplay is quite good though a few of the transfers are quite strange.

You have to use both to make an effective tactic, or at least that's what I found. I used the creator to set up the basis of my tactic, and each individuals roles, and then used the classic sliders to fine tune everything after watching friendlies.

The whole "defend, attack, control, overload" thing I still don't get. I want my fucking slider back!

I havent been able to play it in the last three days and its killing me, ive got a week until my next exam so ill start smashing it again soon. Got to agree with some weird transfers though, in my a-league game Newcastle Jets gave Matt Thompson and Ben Kennedy the flick straight away, some generally odd signings made etc, Kev Muscat getting a game for the Socceroos over all the current contenders too which i found odd.

My striker, whom I picked up on a free, is up to 25 leauge goals so far in the season - only played 19 league games - anyone else playing in the lower leagues (ie. league 2 in England) check out Willy Topp from chile, stats arent fantastic but he plays well in a standard 442...

Blakroz - Have a look at Jack Tuyp and Emmanuel Sarki. Absolutely destroyed for me in League 1 and I got them on frees. Sarki usually is on a free after his contract runs out with Chelsea, which is 2011/12 iirc.

Still getting rid of all the deadwood in my side, by the Jan transfer window I should have it almost completely culled to what I can work with, my backline needs a little work but may concentrate on my midfield as it is pretty week currently. Still sitting 1st with about a 5 or 6 point buffer between 2nd, still not expecting to get promoted straight away - but would be nice - was only expected to come 19th also so far Im slightly exceeding board expectations!!! :)

Yeah, when I went to Plymouth, out of all the players that were there, only two of them stayed in my starting 11. Building a squad from scratch was good fun.

If your backline needs work, I recommend: Bruno Ecuele Manga and Frank Korpershoek. They might be too expensive, but I got them on frees and they are great.

For RB, Timothy Cathalina is good, and for LB... have a look at Kelly Youga.

Add Jovetic for 6m to the list of bargains I've picked up for Liverpool.

I'm only up to the end of August, but I'm doing ok so far. Three wins from three games to open the league. Torres has been out injured but Cardozo has stepped straight into his spot, scoring 4 in 3.

Afro can you give us a list of your signings and the fees please? You managed to get Veloso, Di Maria and Jovetic for absolute steals and when I get the game I reckon I will try and sign them

i just got the demo from 442, it's changed so much from fm 08 i can't understand it :(

i hate it, i didn't even bother playing it. i hate it=;

For Liverpool:

- Miguel Veloso, Sporting, 6.5m.
- Angel Di Maria, Benfica, 4m.
- Stevan Jovetic, Fiorentina, 6m.
Total: 20.8m.
Currently working on Juan Manuel Vargas (Fiorentina) for 5m + Fabio Aurelio, which is a fair price given that he's cup tied.

For Atletico:
- Daniel Carvalho, CSKA Moskva, 3m.
- Mathieu Bodmer, Lyon, 6.5m

My only problem with Liverpool is that i've had to sell to buy, the board are anal as all hell. I've sold the following:
- Andrea Dossena, Sunderland, 5m
- Lucas, Man City, 9m
- Ryan Babel, Man City, 11.75m.
- Daniel Pacheco, Villarreal, 1m.

Total: 26.75m. The board have given me a grand total of 10m of that to spend and kept the rest to line their pockets.

That's just Naff. There's exactly the same thing going on as there's always been. The only difference is that the stuff that used to be down the left hadn side of the screen, is now across the top between the gameplay and the old menues, whch have been slightly re-jigged to be more functional.

If anything it's more like FIFA, and more to your level of intelligence.

Thats awesome afro, apparently United get about 75mil to work with so I am planning to get Veloso, Di Maria, Silva and a new forward like Aguero or Benzema, maybe strengthen the backline too. I also plan to get rid of some dead wood to make room for those signings

yea true, but like it's soooooooo different, everything's moved, and it doesn't look as good. i'll give it a try but...:roll:
