There doesn't seem to be a lot of competition going on in the Dutch League right now. Only Ajax and Utrecht are giving me any trouble at all and that was limited by Utrecht's squad lacking drive and Ajax having an incompetent buffoon as coach.

I've had a horrible run of injuries to start next season.

I brought in a new CB and a new DL (and I think a new AMR, I can't remember) to basically complete my first team, then about 9 of them got injured.

I had one run, where in three games, I lost both left wingers, then Wilshere (who is too old to play wing and is more like a 3rd choice AMC), then the two strikers I put into AML.

My ST was out for a bit as well, my midfield was fine, so I was basically creating chances, but the 3rd and 4th stringers (remember that guy Dicks, the shitty youth player. Well, he now has an EPL and Europa League start to his name) couldn't shoot.

We lost a home Europa league match 1-0, despite having 17 shots to 2.

Atletico Madrid had a lot of useless old reserves on high pay checks so half the squad was sold or released in the preseason and I promoted some players from the B and C teams in their place. I brought in James Rodrigues from Porto, who was my star player there, Flavio from Twente who I bought for Twente a week before I left for Porto and just made his first appearance for Brazil at age 19. I also brought in Luis Suarez.
In
Suarez 25m
Rodrigues 12m
Flavio 3.5m
Yakushev 1.5m
Luciani 0.5m
Shelvey free

Out
Forlan free
Reyes 12.5m
Jaunfran 5m
Elias 14.5m
N'Doye 4.5m
Pranjic 1.5m
Salvio 3m
Paulo Assuncao free
Manu 1.5m

After 10 games we are 2 points above Barcelona and have beaten both Barcelona and Real Madrid.
I am now also manager of Italy after Uruguay sacked me for losing to Colombia in the second round of the World Cup.

A lesson in giving a new player that one last chance...

Lee Mitchell's (Striker) first 4 games for Bristol Rovers: 4 Starts, 0 Goals, 0 Assists, Rating: 6.51

Lee Mitchell's next 9 Games for Bristol Rovers: 9 Starts, 11 Goals, 3 Assists, Rating: 7.78

Includes a Hattrick, and 2 Braces. Before his first scoring game for me, I literally picked him up to drop him, but thought I'd give him one final chance.

'AND THAT'S HIS FIRST GOAL OF THE SEASON'

Is the bane of my existence. As well as random 30 yard rockets into the top corner from midfielder's with Long Shots of 12 and Finishing of 9.

'AND THAT'S HIS FIRST GOAL OF THE SEASON'

This. Especially in March.

It's Febraury, I'm top of the table, having conceded 8 goals in 20 games - My backline is superb: A regen named den Breejen who I'm almost certain I'll lose to a bigger club, Toloi, Onyewu, Ogbonna, Diogo and Enyeama have been absolutely sensational - and I've scored 8 goals from corners and 6 goals from Indirect free kicks so far this season. Set plays have been superb. Unfortunately Lukaku and Van Nistelrooy's form has dried up almost completely and RVN hasn't scored in 11 hours of football. If he wasn't a free transfer I'd be upset.

I won the league and Europa Cup with Atletico Madrid.
In the league we were 2 points ahead of Barcelona going into the final round and I thought I was going to pay for having such a young squad. I already had Suarez, Rodriguez, Godin, Miranda, Trasch and Zabaleta out though injuries and suspension when I had 14 players taken away to play in u19 and u21 European/South American Championship qualifiers. This forced me to play 6 debutants against Malaga who finished fourth while Barcelona were playing 19th place Elche. I turned out I didn't need to worry Aguero went on a rampage and scored 4 goals in the first 30 minutes.
In the Europa League we did it the hard way beating Shaktar ,Real Madrid, Lyon, Bayern and then Manchester United in the final.
The Champions League was won by Tottenham which was completely void of the bigger clubs past the second round. The quarterfinalists were CSKA Moscow vs Porto, Benefica, Tottenham vs Galatasary, Napoli vs PSG and Palermo vs Ajax.

Started the second season with Atletico Madrid winning both the Spainish Supercup and European Supercup.
I lost my star two wonderkid backs for 11m to Manchester City and Chelsea even though he was easily worth 15+m because I had forgot about the 10m transfer clauses they insisted on at the start of the season when they was worth about 1.5m. #-o
The pain was eased by picking up Neymar on free transfer and receiving a 12.5m profit for Shelvey and Flavio, who I only played once each.

In:
Luiz Gustavo 15m
Neymar free
Xavi free
Charles Camara 3.5m
Mineiro 25m
Heinreich 6m
Mariana free

Spent 50m

Out:
Rodegella 7.5m
Filipe 5m
Shelvey 5m
Vincent Iborra 7.5m
Flavio 10m
F Hernandez 11m
Miranda 2m
Valthuizen free
Pieters 7m
Jose Manuel 11m
Xabi Prieto 1.2m

recieved 66.2m

Nantwich - Premiership 2027/2028
Media Prediction - 9th out of 20th.
Actual Position - 5th.

Got absolutely massacred by injuries at the start of the season. I had up to 9 of the squad out for considerable periods of time, and it really killed our shots at the CL places.

Even getting 5th was a massive effort. Unfortunately a draw against Everton meant we needed Man United to lose on the final day, they didn't, and we got beaten 1-0 by Wolves anyway.

We lost to United in the Carling Cup final, 85 minutes holding out, then they shot a 35 yard long bomb, it hit the crossbar, rebounded off the keeper for what they called an "own goal". Annoying.

The other bloody Manchester team stopped us defending our FA Cup in the 6th round, beating us 1-0, the CB who I'd loaned from them for two years scoring his first goal (typical) for the club to win the match after 10 minutes.

Europa League I qualified first, beat sc Hervenenreeneenen 4-0 on agg in the first KO stage, then lost to Juve 1-4 in the 2nd.

I bought 3 major signings. A good 23yo Portugese CB for only £1 million, an Argentine left back for £10m, and lastly a striker who I'm turning into a right wing-forward for £11m.

Out, was a no longer needed 29 year old left back for £8.5m, and a no longer required 3rd choice DC/DM for £6.5.

As I said here, my stadium is filled to expansion capacity, which sucks. We won't get another stadium for god knows how long, if it's from 2022, then it'll be in 13 years plus however long it takes to build, which I'd hope to have completed the challenge by then.

Had a new chairman via Director takeover, and his a dick, always refuses my requests.

Will be looking for new players at CB, ST and MC, with a 3rd choice GK being a good idea as well.

I hate those goals. Not so much for the fact that we've conceded, but that it ruins the players rating, and often destroys their confidence, when they really had nothing to do with it.

Even still, Morocco ffs. And it's not like those times where a nation wins like 3/4 games in a row and jump a bunch of placings either. They've won 4 of the last 5 Cup of Nations. And their players are actually good. And what I find most amazing is that almost all of them are starting and spending 2/3 years in the non open Moroccan league. There's more World Class players coming from Morocco than there is England

That always happens in one nation for each save I've found. In FM10 I had that with Mexico. The time before it was Columbia in FM09. I haven't been playing FM11 long enough in any one save to notice a correlation but there seem to be a few decent germans floating around.

Just on this, what's the furthest you've ever seen a club fall? Wigan spent 2 seasons down in the BSP in mine, but are now Mid-Table League 2. Stoke are spending their 3rd season in the BSP, and don't look like coming back any time soon.

In my Liverpool save it's 2014/15 and Bolton, Blackpool and Fulham are all in the bottom half of the championship, the latter two have a good chance of going down. Stoke and Wigan have both been relegated as well. Gladbach are entrenched in the B.2 in Germany, Inverness are in 9th in the Scotish First Division

I remember back in FM07 Charlton ended up in League 2 in mine.

I put it on holiday mode for a couple of days to see what would happen a while ago. It got to the the year 2153. Blackpool spent at least 50 years out of action below the N/S conferences but had worked their way back up to the championship. In the premier league and Europe Boston United, Telford United and Redditch United had become a major forces playing out of their 5000 seater stadiums. Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal were midtable teams and the only current teams still in the premier league.
Australia won the world cup in 2074 and 2082. They were runners up in 2078.

Newcastle spending a season in League 1 is probably the only drop of note.

Tottenham finished 15th in 2024/25, Arsenal 16th in 2018/19, Everton have come close a couple times.

The league has been dominated by:
Liverpool (Having lost their debt makes them overpowered compared to reality, they don't have a 'debt' but it's not like the owners aren't going to recover that money but in-game that doesn't apply).
United (who still have 147 million of debt in 2030)
City (who still have Mubarak).

Chelsea, who lost Abramovich just this season but only have a stadium Loan debt of 22 million are slipping, they've come 8th last season, 4th, 10th, 8th since they won the title in 2023/24.

From 2029 the title has gone:
Liverpool
City
City
Liverpool
Arsenal
Chelsea
Liverpool
Liverpool
Liverpool
United
United
Liverpool
United
Chelsea
City
United
Chelsea
City
United

Fulham came third in 2011 and Tottenham 3rd in 2012 and 2023, and that's the only teams outside the "Big Five" to break in since the start of the game.

Just had a 2-1 come from behind victory against City that gives us a great shot at winning the title.

Just beat West Brom 2-1 in the FA Cup semi.

Got Rangers in the Europa League semi-final in the next matches.

edit - 3-1 agg win \:d/

ffs. my AMC got himself banned for two matches for a fucking stupid challenge.

We've just been smashed 3-0 by Chelsea, team played the worst they've ever played this season, 4 shots, 1 shot on target for the entire game. ](*,) ](*,) ](*,)

It's killed our GD, we're 6 behind Arsenal's GD, and 2 points behind with 1 game in hand with 2 to play for us, and 1 for Arsenal and Liverpool.

My other AMC got injured, and he'll need injections.

Lost the title on the last day.

Arsenal smashed Leeds 4-0, we lose to United 2-0, they win title by 2 points. [-( ](*,)

4-1 win in the FA Cup Final \:d/ \:d/

Nantwich - Premiership 2029/2030
Media Prediction - 8th out of 20th.
Actual Position - 2nd.

Well this was an annoying season with a decent ending.

We lost to a championship team in the 3rd round of the Carling Cup, and I heard about it all freaking year from the board.

We worked so hard to get into a title winning position, only to lose to Chelsea in the 3rd last game, which ended up leaving us requiring to beat Manchester United on the final day and hope Arsenal drew or lost to Leeds. Arsenal smashed them 4-0 and we lost, so we threw away the title.

We worked all the way to the Europa League final, only to lose 2-1 despite completely dominating in every facet of the game.

The good part, was we got revenge with a 4-1 win over Chelsea in the FA Cup, to lift that trophy for a 2nd year. And of course, guaranteed Champions League group stage action.

We had some issues financially, with my wage and transfer clause (monthly payment) budget along with paying 8.5 million up front (with another 8.5 over 2 years) pushing us nearly 23 in the red. The board then refinanced the debt, which spread the whole thing out over 15 years with the minor addition of 260k of interest per year. This is actually pretty good for me, as it will let me keep signing players with the monthy clauses once I get a handle on what my likely CL income will be.

The first 11 is sorted, but I might look to add another MC to the team, and will look for a 3rd choice loan striker and keeper as well.
