Clearly you need to improve your youth scouting.

So played my first game into oblvivion and got bored, was at a stage where i was holidaying a lot.

so i decided to play with the editor, but not too much, basically i tried to make all epl squads similar in terms of money. i didnt make them overly rich and didnt make them overly poor. tried to make things all good, however since there is no salary cap and what not, still bit hard to manage, however i think it turned out well.

I chose Everton and managed to, very very surprisingly, sign some good players first up.

Out: Well a shitload of players, probably got rid of my whole reserve squad except Jose Baxter.

In: With all those signings out, was able to bring in some solid players.

Joe Hart - thats right, i mad a bid on a whim and they accepted, so i got him.

Rhys Williams
Llorente - this one surprised me too, but thanks to all my sales i had shit load left over to spend and then did that thing with the board where they bid on your behalf and they got my man.

It's as high as it can go...Either way, I don't see how improving our scouting will raise the quality of OTHER team's youth recruitment/players.

He's absolute garbage in my game.

Yeh, he hasnt been too awesome in my game so far, hes been average. i got him on the cheap though, so see how he goes for a season.

Looking at his PA in the editor, he's championship level at best.

looked at that too afterwards, he hasnt been my best signing so far, but after the board spent the money on Llorente, going to be hard to find a replacement left winger...

I agree he's no where near as good as nhub thinks he is, but Championship level, He's better than that. Was a decent player for Grenada who were mid-table La Liga in my old Atletico save.

PA's in the 130's and 140's is championship level in england. Or relegation battlers in Serie A and La Liga.

If you want a left winger, get on Griezman early.

Strengthened well in the off season, brought in a new LB, CB, ST for the XI.

Seasons about to get underway and then - Mariga comes to me saying he wants to leave, and the next day Inter bid 3.8mil for Bertolacci (value 1.4) and he says he wants to talk to them.

They're my two CMs :( :( :( Gutted. I'll need to find two new ones.

On that, can anybody recommend some CMs? Can probs spend about 5mil on each.

See where Rakitic is, obviously.
Sergio Canales probably isn't playing regularly for Madrid.
Parejo could be good value off Getafe.
Noncerino will cost you dick all depending on if he's still at Palermo and his contract is running out.
Albin Ekdal will be pretty cheap too.
Lucas Biglia is good value as well.

I tried to get Ekdal last season, as he was super cheap and amazing, but he won't come. same with Biglia.

Low SPL rep sucks.

Noncerino and Andrea Poli are worth a look. Poli might be expensive though.

Guido Pizarro, Jonathan De Guzman, Willem Janssen, Nicolas Lodeiro? Guido's good value especially.

I'm assuming you're a few years in to the game? If the potential he's showing in the early stages of my Brighton save is anything to go by, Jake Forster-Caskey (Or just Jake Caskey as he's known in the game) could turn out to be a very good CM a few years in. Although his PA is only set to -7 so I don't know, he might not be that great at all :lol: But I'd check him out, I'd also be interested to see how well he turns out in your game.

Caskey is at Preston in mine. Pretty average.

Preston in League 1, the Championship? In hindsight I would have bumped his PA up to -8. Hopefully he's rated slightly higher in FM13, he showing enough potential in real life to be better than just an average Championship player.

Preston are currently 11th in L1. They picked him up on a free when they were in the championship but he couldn't save them from relegation last season. 6.25, 6.40, 6.53, 6.66 and 6.91 av ratings. 6.68 from 79 apps.

Just started a 3rd round Carling Cup match against Millwall, my left back, Danny Fox, always seems to switch off during my pre-match speeches, so this time i said i expect a performance from him, within 3 mins, he's had 2 free kicks, hit the bar with the first one and scored from 35 yards on the next one! haha

My transfer window is over, so hard to sign some players...

Managed to bring in Darren Gibson for 1 mill and Balotelli and Milner on Loan.

Also due to my urgent need for left wing backup, brought in Robert Pires.

Everton got bought out by a sugar daddy. They've spent a shit-tonne of money and are now in second and giving me a run for my money. That wouldn't be an issue except they keep banging in the goals and are averaging almost 4 a game.

Norwich bought Patrick fucking Zwaansjik in my game. He was pain in the arse when we played them. Balotelli got sent off after 25 seconds for a tackle on him.

SOMEHOW, despite NOT MAKING A SINGLE SAVE, my keeper's rating was 7.2. Someone fucking explain that shit?!

This is why I went back to my proper squad :lol: Our best season yet. Won the Scottish Cup and League Cup, and reached the ECL semi's. Had 6 players score more than 10 goals, and 6 players have more than 10 assists. 5 players had +10 goals AND assists.

Lads backed up the 2-1 win away to Chelsea with a 3-0 win at home to Atleti. WINNING!

Roberto Fiamenghi has been absolutely amazing... 18yo striker signed from Siena for 2.3mil compo, he has 5 starts, 8 goals, and 7.70. Absolutely killing it.

2 weeks later, smash Everton 3-1 at Goodison. Revenge is sweet. Playing Man City 3 times in 11 days could keep the title race interesting.

1-0 and 0-0 v Hannover is enough to seal UCL qualification with 2 games to go :D

Sign Xavi to sell shirts. Scores 5.7 and 6.2 in firs two appearances for club. Never plays again.

(As Melbourne Heart) My Scout found Juan Angel Roman, a Spanish U/21 Player, he got released by Manchester City and he's on 1,200 a week, one of those players that just fell on my lap, he doesn't score many goals but has about 8 assists mid-season so far.

oh, he's an Attacking Midfielder.
