I feel the rage too. But to be honest the only guy who is qualified to respond to what has happened is Pim and his team. My take is that logical Pim knew exactly what he was up for, he took a risk cause he had nothing to lose. At the end Pim had a bad match, his team was obedient to his design and we got smashed. Pim took a risk and it failed.
Fall forward is my philosophy. Give the coach and the team some space now and let's hope it all comes together against Ghana.:-k

Batfink - I somehow don't think the whole football community thinks 4-2-3-1 sux. Germany were playing a 4-2-3-1, so did The Netherlands and there are definitely a number of other top teams who played that same formation also.

It's not the formation itself that is to blame, as the Germans showed you can play extremely well in that formation.

so kewell got picked in a team and may never play a game, whilst mcdonald is sitting at home unable to play in the formation that he loves which pim has now adopted....4-4-2.

I know alot of you agree with Pim not putting Harry on but I don't, Harry would of lifted the spirts of the team. Pim chose not to utilise his subs, why not play some of the more inexperienced players so to unerve them. Garcia played a terrific game for a half having to play as a forward. Sure he may not of been our first choice but he did well. Our defensive team should of had changes earlier on to stop the Germans from scoring any more. I wouuld of put on Beauchamp, Carney. Moore shouldn't of even got on the park, and as much as I am not a fan of holman he went on when the game was a debarklle, no one said the game was going to be easy but to go into a game with the mind set of a draw will do isn't good thinking, Lucas didn't have a great game the back line just left to many players open for the Germans to pass back.

Pim may excuse the players but I daresay if you were the captain of a team getting thumped due to poor tactical nous then would you not take it apon yourself to change something?
the coach can be held responsible but realistically if the team loses that badly you cant go past blaming the players for what was a dismal performance by all.

well its pretty clear that the whole football community agree's that pims shape sux,4-2-3-1.??? yet the FFA have our technical director hans burger instructing every state association that we need to adopt a 4-3-3 formation of play, so why does pim persist with this shape, maybe he read a coaching manual or a stat sheet that told him that more teams win with this formation, the fact is coaches are trhere to extract the best out of the talent they have , NOT change them, simple way to explain is, when a good looking chick gets a gig as a model its because she is hot, then the wankers tell her your titts arent big enough, ur lips are thin, next thing you know she's lost her natural beauty, same here, Pim has coached the instinct out of the squad, if i had the say, id change the shape, and tell them to ge out there and do what they do best, play football with heart and commitment, then australia will be back in town...

The scary thing about the problem facing the Australian team now is we have to win the next 2 matches. Why is that scary?... Because over the past 3 years... Pim has never shown 1 iota of attacking intent.

We don't have a game plan instilled to attack. There is no plan B. Everyone has been saying we have no plan B for years and now more than ever we need a Plan B.

Failures: 1. Cahill up front 2. Bringing only 3 strikers and not starting any of them 3. Neill insulting his team before match 4. Playing for a draw 5. High back line 6. Throwing the match. I gave Pim the benefit of the doubt for the last year but he has a LOT to do in the next two matches to atone for the matches since South Korea.

We are at a world cup . We have 3 games to qualify to th 16. our team is made up of unfit, injured , no game time ,no club players . HOW THE F DOSE THAT HELP US GET THERE . pim you are an absolute mong , I as a supporter would have much prefered our in form a-league and asian league players be there and actually have a go and lose than a team of criples....

I would just like to take this oppurtunity to let you know that my earlier coments regarding selection of our defence has now just been justified ( Colosimo and Bosnar ).
Just a bit of advice , if you want toplay the offside trap against a team like GER , GAHNA or SER you need strong , agile and QUICK central def that if we are caught out can actually chase a ball or player down not just stand and watch . AND TO ALL OF YOU THAT GAVE ME A HARD TIME ABOUT MY EARLIER COMENTS ON SELECTION AND OUR DEF BEING OUR WEEK POINT .The proof is in the pudding .

Why on earth did he play Cahill as a lone striker?? They tried that against Japan during the qualifier and that didn't work, so why on earth would it work against a team that is 10x better than Japan??

One of the biggest things Pim has done is kill the unity of the squad (once referred to asa family), and has totally destroyed what is probably the roos biggest asset. Their attitude!! HIs negativity is complately contrary to our :have a go" "never say die" outlook.

Pim, you should have played Bresciano and Kennedy instead of Garcia and Valeri, ok Kewell was not fully ecovered so couldnt play fair enough but Bresciano and Kennedy were fine and fit but you didnt play them, we could have at least scored one goal if you had have.

Any thoughts that the result was caused by an ageing squad with limited talent should be shot down in flames. We don't know to what extent they are true purely because the team and the tactics chosen by Verbeek were the biggest factor.

Give Hiddink or any decent coach control of that squad (or let's face it they would have chose a different squad) and you would have seen a very different 11 and more than likely a different result.

For that reason we will most likely never know how much of a factor age and talent were/ will be for the next few games. The reason being that a inadequate coach has messed it all up with his absolute idiocy.

Shame on you Verbeek, you have crushed the hopes of a nation. And if he turns it around in the next few games I will chop my testes off with a rusty knife.

In the 2 friendlies and in this match, Australia have been much better in the 2nd half than the first.
