http://www.gametrailers.com/video/special-announcement-duke-nukem/712100Can't say I didn't see that coming. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt though and say they probably planned this, and it was never going to come out in May. One final joke.

Definitely a final joke just for the lolz. Quote:I still need to play the first Dragon Age, let alone the 2nd one. I invested 85 hours into that game. Classic RPG elements, epic scope, was great. Started DA2 this week. Its different thats for sure. Probably shouldn't have been called DA2. Things are "streamlined" and they've taken out some classic RPG elements in it. I think it was rushed too quickly thanks to EA. Looks pretty and all that but a few hours in and there's no epic scope or story like the first one.

He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

buddha69 wrote:Here is the games thread Heartinator Brilliant - thanks mate... So I was just wanting to ask you guys if anyone has played either/both of AFL Live / Need For Speed Shift 2?? I'm due for a new game, and can't decide. NFS is pretty much guaranteed to be good, but AFL Live intrigues me as its the first AFL game in about 4 years so I'd assume there'd be a few glitches etc

11.mvfc.11 wrote:If you like afl, it's a good game. Has a few flaws though, however it is easily the best afl game there is. Nfs shift 2 is crap in my opinion, steering is impossible, etc. If it's out of those two games; afl, if you have any other game that's good, look into the other. Afl isn't totally worthless however Thanks for the summary 11.mvfc.11 ... !! :d

AFL Live is pretty good. Not on the same level as FIFA obviously, but still waaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than the previous installments. Just needs a franchise mode and I'd buy it.

From what I've heard, considering how small the company is that made it, AFL Live is pretty good, but yeah, it obviously wouldn't stack up against the Fifa's, NBA, etc.

PSN is back up! Lost my second account because of the shutdown, so my new one is Marconi_Listo.

marconi101 wrote:PSN is back up! Lost my second account because of the shutdown, so my new one is Marconi_Listo. Compensation for the outage announced too: Quote:Sony reveals outage compensation May 17, 2011 - 8:08AM Comments 44 Access to the online PlayStation Network has now been restored for Australian PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable owners, and Sony has announced its package of gifts to help compensate gamers for the lengthy outage. The outage followed an attack on Sony's data centre located in San Diego California on April 20. Sony says it was forced to shut down its network in order to complete an investigation into the attack and improve the security of the network infrastructure. In the attack the user data of 77 million PlayStation customers was obtained by the hackers, including 1.5 million Australian accounts. The Welcome Back program for Australians lets all existing PlayStation Network members choose two PS3 games. The games available for selection are: LittleBigPlanet Infamous Wipeout HD/Fury Ratchet and Clank: Quest for Booty Dead Nation. Those with PSP accounts are also eligible to download two PSP games. The games available are: LittleBigPlanet PSP ModNation PSP Pursuit Force Killzone Liberation. All existing PlayStation Network members also receive 30 days free PlayStation Plus membership, while existing PlayStation Plus subscribers will be given 60 days free subscription. Existing Music Unlimited subscribers will be given 30 days free subscription. Sony says it is also working on an offer for PlayStation Home. The content will be available for download via the PlayStation Store, which is not yet back online. Sony says “we are doing everything we can to make that happen as soon as possible”. Sony also says it will be publishing new content to the PlayStation Store multiple times per week as soon as "commerce functionality is restored." Sony has also offered free identity theft protection for North Americans affected by the malicious attack on PlayStation Network, but is yet to announce any details of a similar program for Australians. In other PlayStation Network news, game developer Sucker Punch is evaluating extending the inFAMOUS 2 beta program, as well as expanding the scope of the beta content. SOCOM developer Zipper will also announce details soon on new activities to get SOCOM 4 fans playing the shooter online again, while Treyarch says Call of Duty: Black Ops players will get another extra Double XP event. Sony says it has worked closely with several external security firms to help implement "new security measures that strengthen safeguards against unauthorised activity, and provide consumers with greater protection of their personal information". "The company has made considerable enhancements to the data security, including updating and adding advanced security technologies, additional software monitoring and penetration and vulnerability testing, and increased levels of encryption and additional firewalls." Sony also says it has added an "early-warning system" for unusual activity patterns that could signal an attempt to compromise the network. Sony expects to have all its online services in all countries fully restored by the end of May. Little Big Planet is an awesome game, if you like the style that it is. Fun, platformer, really creative. I'd check out a review for it at the very least to see if you'd like it. Infamous is a bit of fun too. I'll be getting Infamous and probably Dead Nation.

Bought 'Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising' yesterday.. Seen it around heaps and it was only $26 yesterday so thought why not. Played a little bit and the controls are freaking weird.. But I guess I am just used to the COD configuration. I'll give it a good crack before I say if it's shit or not.
