Can't believe I haven't seen this thread before, gaming is probably the only thing I love more than football! However, after saying that... keepersball wrote:sydneycroatia58 wrote:Also IGN has a story about an early mission and the 3 lead characters
Grand Theft Auto V: Reinventing the Open-World Rulebook
IGN’s first look at GTA V offers a selection box of scintillating glimpses of what's in store next year.
Ask any GTA fan what their favourite mission of all time is, and Three Leaf Clover is guaranteed to rank highly. The heist mission from Grand Theft Auto IV encapsulated everything that was great about the series in 15 minutes of gaming nirvana. It had everything: a bank robbery with hostages held at gunpoint; a shootout against SWAT teams on the streets of Liberty City with police helicopters circling above; and a last-ditch attempt to escape the cops by fleeing along the subway tracks on foot. It was action packed, was bursting with variety and was superbly paced. It was the perfect GTA mission.
GREATEST. MISSION. EVER. ...I never finished GTA 4 and I never made it to this mission. Maybe I need to go back and try again.

Ex-Halo developer Bungie announced their new game today, an MMO-FPS (which can apparently be played single player) called Destiny. looks pretty good, and they've certainly got the pedigree. http://au.ign.com/articles/2013/02/17/bungies-destiny-a-land-of-hope-and-dreams

The new controller. The Dualshock 4 It has a touch pad, 'share' button and a headphone jack. First pic of the PS4 interface A secondary processing chip will mean games can be played while they're still downloading. Edited by sydneycroatia58: 21/2/2013 10:27:40 AM

You'll be able to watch friends play games and join in on the fly.
PS4 will also get to know your likes and dislikes and have things already downloading for you, or at least that's the idea.

There's only 2 things I want from the new batch of consoles. Backwards compatibility, and Not having to be connected to the net to play games/able to play 2nd Hand games. Won't be bothering otherwise.

Remote play will enable games to be played on the Vita and the goal is eventually to have every PS4 game playable remotely on Vita.

Anyone else played the new SimCity yet? Had a bit of a go until the servers crashed... It would appear that this is the worst gaming launch since Diablo 3.

X-Com is awesome, do not play it on any of the settings below the classic one as the aliens are push overs if you do. I didn't lose a single agent until the first major plot point - X-Com should be vicious.

I'm guessing it's more of a tactical style game?

I'm guessing it's more of a tactical style game? Squad based tactical along with global strategic choices. If you get it name all your agents after people you care about and then do your best not to get them killed. For true hardness don't make reloads (as in play each mission through from start to finish no matter what - the game doesn't reward do overs anyways as all the rolls for each combat are pre-generated, though outcomes can be affected by modifiers).
