But if Monaco come along with a hefty offer I can see us jumping at it.

I don't see I happening, even if a big offer comes in. It would be unlikely for a team to bring in 2 new centre backs in the same window

Vaughn2111 wrote:I don't see I happening, even if a big offer comes in. It would be unlikely for a team to bring in 2 new centre backs in the same window It's pretty unheard of. But for the right offer they might think about it. I mean with the kind of money Monaco are throwing around, 20-25m for Agger and they'd have something to think about. But that said, when we've got Reina potentially leaving and a new CB coming in, you don't want to go into a season with Skrtel and Johnson running the defence.

The home kit is so good, the home keeper kit is absolute sex too. But the away keeper... If they took the diamond pattern off the white away it would look clarsh. If only.

Hopefully somehow the away kit looks better on the field like how shit both of Man U's kits looked this time last year but when you watch them play you don't really notice it. I fear it wont though as the Man U one it is a pattern over the normal kit color and you don't notice it unless you are close up and their is high picture quality but with this, I don't know.

To be fair, last year we were apprehensive about the away jersey as well and it wasn't as bad once you saw them on the pitch.
That has to go down as one of the worst away kits of all time. It's almost as bad as the fluro yellow Chelsea way kit.

Apparently Bayern are interested in Suarez and are willing to offer Robben as a makeweight in the deal.

Echo reporting Aspas will be confirmed in next 48 hours. Good as done yet :)
Also mentions discussions with Sporting are ongoing about Ilori. I think we'll get him too.

Possibly. With Ribery just signing a new deal and it being common knowledge that he and Robben don't get along, something has to give. There's also the fact that Suarez is younger.

Papa is a bit off his rocker. But he's exactly the kind of player we should be looking at. He's going to be all class if he passes his second physical.

Pep Reina wrote:To be honest, I would like for Luis to stay at Liverpool but I understand if he is thinking about leaving for a bigger club. When I say bigger I don't mean as a club. I mean challenging for titles, playing in the Champions League and competing with the best. Poor form Pep.

Whether your players choose to ignore it or come out like Reina did doesn't change the fact that everything he said was true, When you're in a transfer window and you're trying to attract players to come and play for the club, and you've got your own players coming out and not looking committed to the cause it's a terrible look. Especially when they're essentially actively encouraging current key players (who would also attract new signings) to leave.

A few newspapers around are linking us with a reunion with Xabi Alonso again. Am I alone in not wanting this?
I mean, as much as I love the guy he's 32 this season so he'll be slower and could struggle to get back into the physicality of the Premier League. On top of that he set the bar so high when he was first here it'll be near impossible to match. Furthmore with young players like Coutinho, Allen, Sterling etc in the team, he'd either end up depriving them of a place in the squad, come in at the expense of Lucas or end up playing a bit part - None of which is appealing.
