Phew. South Africa need to up their game. Kallis and Faf are legends. Kallis batting so well with his injury and Faf doing what he did under that pressure.
Final test will be cracking.

 De Villiers, that's gotta be a record. Lowest strike rate in an innings lasting more than 200 balls?

Having Pattinson would've sealed it or us imo - we needed that 5th option just for something different.

I want to raise a massive WHAT THE FUCK at Josh Hazlewood's inclusion in the test squad for Perth.
The guy has taken just 9 wickets this season at an average of 46, HOW IS THIS TEST MATERIAL!!
Ben Cutting on the other hand has taken 18 wickets at an average of 21 this season, and not only that but is also averaging nearly 40 with the bat including a century and half century, yet he doesn't even get TALKED about let alone put into a squad!
WHAT THE FUCK WEED ARE THE SELECTORS SMOKING!

If the selectors had any fucking clue, they'd be picking Jackson Bird and Luke Butterworth. Thankfully, they don't  Quote:Ricky Ponting announces that the Perth test match will be his last. Honestly surprised by that. Thought he'd try and make it to at least the first of the two Ashes series next year.

So, it was brought to my attention before, the Brisbane test, that it was decided that Mitchell Johnson was going to play in Perth regardless of what happened....Lyon was going to be dropped for him in any case even if Pattinson was fit.

And it looks like Hazlewood is not only in the squad, but is going to play! Fuck me, what a disaster...
I hope I end up eating my words, but I seriously doubt that.
Sad to see Ricky go, but it is the right time, and I'm really happy that he is going out on his terms rather then forcing the selectors to drop him.

Edited by zimbos_05: 29/11/2012 04:05:43 PM Was always a huge Johnson fan. Hopefully he can get back to that 2008 form. Sad to see Ricky go as well.

Fuck off, I hate Mitchell Johnson. It would be harsh to drop Lyon, he has been bowling well.

Bitching and moaning was a bit pre-mature. Hazlewood is 12th man. Hastings makes his debut to join Johnson, Starc and Lyon in the bowling attack.

Morkel should have come on a bit earlier. Philander was a bit too straight, Morkel would have troubled Lyon more.
if Steyn and Morkel can move the ball like they did today, we are in for a good game. Warner, so damn lucky.

Don't worry, Ponting will be back just out after lunch. Steyn is tearing us to shreds.

Now is a good time to switch on. Aussies finished off the tail, but these first 15 overs of the Aussie innings will be very tense.
