You and six others. FOAD To be fair to Afro, the interest in state cricket has decreased dramatically to the point where it's non existent. Sure people watch a bit on tv and check the reports to see who could make the Aussie team, but the current state structure just bleeds money.

South Africa currently 6/61 in reply to Pakistans 7/195 in the T20 over in SA at the moment. Umar Gul has 4/4 off 2 overs.
South Africa all out for 100, Gul finishes with 5/6 off 2.2 overs.

Usman Khwaja, James Pattinson, Shane Watson and Mitchell Johnson all apparently stood down for the 3rd test for a 'breach of team protocol'

Players were asked to outline three points on what they bring to the team by email or in person, and given five days to complete the task. The four players did not complete the assignment by the given deadline.
Arthur said the shock axings were a move to maintain standards in team culture. "This is a line in the sand," he said. Jesus fuck. They're professional cricketers, not high school students. Ridiculous.

Tbf the rest of the players had no trouble doing it, why should those 4 be any exception.

Shane Watson has no apparently quit the tour and is on his way back to Australia. If him leaving is because of being stood down for the 3rd test he should be stripped of his vice-captaincy immediately.
EDIT: Apparently isn't because of him being stood down and is to do with his pregnant wife.

sydneycroatia58 wrote:Tbf the rest of the players had no trouble doing it, why should those 4 be any exception. Oh definitely, but ffs, fine them, or something else, banning them for a game is a huge over-reaction. And this is incredibly harsh on Mitchell Johnson, he did outline what he brings to the team.
