North keep clawing back their lead, and then letting Adelaide kick 4 or 5 straight to eradicate the defecit. They're going to have to come out firing in Q4 to put this game beyond doubt.

We are f***ing shit and soft. NM should have gone to Gold Coast and ensured the club survived by having money and pick of some decent youngsters, not this bullshit of the nearly team. What is Brayshaw going to do now, start issuing half game memberships because that is all we play, half a game. If you bought a one full game membership you have been ripped off. At least he can sit around and boast how our artificial membership has increased, meanwhile back at the ranch we have a group of no hopers that we have seemed to have mustered up in great numbers. Go the Crows! They were never quite out of it all night, there were a few chances of North to kill it off and they just couldn't pull it off. The more interstate teams playing for the eight the better! And what better way to kick the winning goal than with a "soccer".

The players clearly have some talent. Otherwise they wouldn't get to where they are. I'd be more asking why the coach's game plan only covers two quarters.

What talent? cannot hold multiply goal leads with 5 minutes left, once ok, bad luck, but multiply times shows lack of ability and talent to cope when the going gets tough. No point in making the finals anyway, we only lose by 100 pts with this bunch of overpaid no hopers. This is getting beyond a joke, the coach should share the blame, but at the end of the day the players need a big mirror to look into because they are just pathetic when the pressure heats up and the game is there to be won. No point in sugar coating it. Maybe I am upset I had to watch this game at a barbeque with a bunch of crows fans. But come on how can you justify this week in week out? The club needs to win or it will not be around as it can barely pull a crowd in AFL terms (23k today out of having something like 33k members and 5k would have been crows fans). They should have moved, taken the money and the built a squad of talented players from early draft picks. Management has a lot to answer for by keeping us in the no where world of mid to low table and then playing games in some park in Tasmania. The Gold Coast would have been the best outcome for the team, it is supposed to be a national game after all.

There's obviously some skill to get into a leading position against these deams. Obviously our defence lets us down. Along with an inadequate final quarter gameplan.

As a non-kangaroos fan, you guys are definitely on the right track. Not many teams have had a tougher draw than you guys, and you have competed really well against the big guns. Could easily see you guys making top 4 next year and having a real crack at a flag not long after.

When you realise 4 of our opening 5 rounds were against the last 4 premiers, it's not the worst record. But when we've lost by a straight kick when we've been in front against Hawthorn, Geelong, West Coast and now Adelaide that's bloody rough.

Personally I can't stand cricket, hate playing it and hate watching it, so when I see the cricket thread here in ET I'm not even remotely interested in entering it, let alone contributing discussion. Obviously we've all got time to waste if we're here posting on FFT, but FFS whose life is that boring that they can devote so much time to propagating hatred for a sporting code they don't like? On topic though, in regards to the Goodes incident on Friday night, as a Collingwood supporter I'm pretty pissed off about how we've all been tarred with the same brush (although as an educated man with all my teeth I'm used to that by now). What she did was wrong but the responses I've seen flying around on social media have been ridiculous, grown men sharing her facebook page on AFL related facebook pages should be ashamed of themselves. Goodes handled the matter exceptionally though, I've never been a fan of his tbh but I've gained a lot of respect for him after this.

How is it that Ziebell's bump sees him rubbed out for 3 games. Jono Brown throws a punch and gets 1 week. Someone wanna explain that one?

Seems a bit stiff but Ziebell's poor track record played a big part in that. Also agree with you ala Goodes, he can be an absolute cunt on the field but he's been pretty admirable in this, although I think Eddie McGuire and Sydney have worked pretty well together to help smooth this out and deserve a fair chunk of the credit. EDIT sobkowski, not saying I disagree with you on that and that this is a purely one way street, but just because he dishes it out it doesn't excuse the fact that it is an incredibly petty and futile thing to do. Many are aware that late in the game between North vs Adelaide, the Crows reeled back a 30 point margin to win at the death knell when Petrenko soccered it through from the top of the goal square. When I looked at the replay, I noticed that he was actually in the clear, and with ball bouncing, he should have taken clean possession and made sure of it. He admits as much in this article: http://www.afl.com.au/news/2013-05-27/soccer-could-have-been-shocker
