Sydne getting fucked over by Fremantle's pressure. They're suffocating them atm.

Genuinely stoked for Freo. First grand final in a while where I'll be happy whoever wins.

The one thing I don't like about this, is all the Freo fans on Facebook "WCE fans should support Freo next week for state pride". Fuck off. Fremantle are our biggest rivals. Fair play to them, they were terrific tonight, and have been for most of the season. But I'm not going to support our biggest rivals just because they're in the grand final.

I am a swans fan and have been for 20 years.
Congrats to Freo on winning the game, they deserved it. But I hope that Ballyntyne and Crowley get knocked the f**K out in the grand final.

Fremantle are fucking boring. Lyon plays far too defensive. GF is a game I wanna watch though.

True - Ross Lyon teams are horrible to watch - but it's a brand of footy which wins finals matches - not many teams are capable of standing up to it. Hawthorn have the foot skills to get through the Freo stranglehold - but will they win their share of 50/50 ball?

Sat TV ratings #AFLFinals Seven 1.229m (Syd 106k Mel 554k Ade 198k Per 371k) 7mate Bri 35k @Fremantle_FC @sydneyswans

Not a bad number considering there were no Melbourne teams in the game.

First time in a while that the GF has two teams that I wouldn't mine winning.

Im not sure why anyone would have an issue with a team defending... If you were to compare it to football, you would could compare it to a Barcelona full field press... A lot of it in the opposition half. I'd say they are one of the more impressive afl teams I've seen. The commentators got quite excited about the crowd noise...

Did the foody out-rate Iron Chef in Sydney yesterday? SBS rarely makes the top 20 daily ratings, so it's very difficult to know. For example, last Saturday, zero SBS shows made the top 20 ratings, and that includes for the digital multis as well. Last Saturday, ABC2 dominated the digitial multis, although 7Mate made a rare appearance at no. 14 with an AFL game. And the Friday before that, the AFL made it to no.11 on the digital multis with 245k. Of that, 49k was from Sydney. The top ranking show that night had 55k in Sydney. Once again, no SBS shows were in the top 20, so I can only presume that it has outrated the SBS shows. In fact, I would take it a step further, AFL on 7Mate in Sydney has outrated SBS1 in Sydney.

Did the foody out-rate Iron Chef in Sydney yesterday? In fact, this is really interesting. Two show which did make the top 20 on Saturday were: Nine News: First at Five (ch 9) Weekend Sunrise (ch 7) First at Five got ratings of 77k in Sydney. Weekend Sunrise got ratings of 96k in Sydney. The AFL game got ratings of 106k in Sydney. So we can definitely conclude that 106k rating in Sydney beat anything else shown on SBS that day (since no SBS shows made the top 20).

So Leppa it is. Not 100% certain on it, but I don't think I was 100% certain on any of the names being thrown around. I think he'll do well though. Just glad the whole process is over, so we can focus on keeping some of the youngsters who want out.

I've no issue with teams defending, I just hate watching teams stifle their opponents, not that Freo necessarily do that but I can't stand Crowley as he's so effective at stifling the games best players. As for comparing it stylistically to Barca, I've never been a Barca fan boy and often find them and Spain quite boring at times with such a strong emphasis on controlling possession. I hate Hawthorn but I quite like watching them play, they have the right mix of strength and attacking flair, players like Hodge and Mitchell are outstanding under pressure and then they have such skilled forwards and accurate ball users that make them such a force to be reckoned with.
