I really like the look of the young talent coming through at Footscray, GWS, Collingwood and the Saints at the moment, if these teams progress as they look like doing then we could be in for some pretty good contests over the years.

I've never been a member of Collingwood but I've been starting to get back into going to the Footy recently after I really lost interest in attending games and It's something I'd consider I reckon. I have to agree though, obviously as a Collingwood supporter I've got no love for the Bombers but this has just gone on for so long that I don't even care anymore, I'm just sick of hearing about it now and want this thing to be resolved.

I stopped about 4 years ago . Couldn't justify having to pay a family membership to both . When I was single it was easy.

How the fuck can you let your 4 leading scorers over the last 5 years go? There is no way forward for Carlton in the next 3 years.
New Melbourne.
Edited by 11.mvfc.11: 16/5/2015 08:07:46 PM This could potentially be uglier for Carlton IMO, there's no one of the caliber of Paul Roos able to come in and fix the rot. Not a lot of trade bait to work with and besides a couple of players like Cripps and Menzel the Blues youth stocks really don't inspire much confidence of a resurgence. It's certainly possible to rebuild quickly if you draft well enough though IMO, Collingwood, WB and St Kilda have all been working at this very well over the last few years but Carlton's problem is that their form at draft night has been largely abysmal over the years.

Fyfe just got reported. Shouldn't have an issue, but he looks devastated out on the field. Strange that a player has the Brownlow rapped up so early in the year.

Plus Mckenna did the same as malthouse and let shit fester and didnt or couldn't put his foot down.

Also nobody is going to get near freo I think the Hawks or Swans could take them down at the G, but yeah, if they finish top 2 and get a home prelim guaranteed they'll be in the GF.

freo are home to finish top, and everyone will fall over each other to fill out the other top 4 spots a-league style

Freo will almost certainly make the GF but I just can't see them winning it, their midfield is ridiculously good but I just don't think they have the depth of quality around the rest of the ground that teams like Sydney and and Hawthorn do. Plus Sydney and Hawthorn know how to win, Ross Lyon coached sides always fall short at the final hurdle but Sydney and Hawthorn in particular have players that thrive on the big stage.
I think if Hawthorn get into the final with them they'll roll them tbh.
